Just curious if anyone has dared install this and if they've had any luck?

I still cry at night sometimes remembering the SP2 install...

I hit the download but it didn't seem to ever get to the install part. Havn't noticed any difference on any computer I have.

you know I think it got auto downloaded on my old CPU (my sons' CPU now) about a week ago
and well it hasn't worked since I nuked it yesterday and still won't boot AAAAH

on a happier note the new Vista service pack refuses to be installed on my new CPU even though auto-downloader tries once a day

I didn't dare. I wasn't sure if some of my drivers and programs would still work since they are for SP2. Sounds like a good thing I didn't.

One caution: if you have an AMD processor, there have been issues with the power management drivers (essentially throwing the PC in an endless reboot cycle). I don't have the details handy so that's all I recall at the moment.
