paladin bug?  XML

On DOM-CBP1-Aphrodite I was getting decent FPS until someone spawned a paladin - looking at it caused a massive decrease in FPS. Twice I fell off the map because my FPS was so low. So while I was spectating I circled around the paladin looking away from it - no problems, around 40 FPS average, but when I backed up to where it was in view, less than 10. The problem continued in the place the paladin blew up - I could circle around it, no problems, but as soon as I get the area where it was in view, my FPS drops below 10. Most everyone else said they had the problem too. I have seen this happen once before on another map but I figured it was just me since the paladins were gone, never thought it could be the place they blew up causing it. Just figured I'd report it. Hopefully I'm putting this thread in the right place.

I second this problem...(was going to report but it seems I was beaten to the punch..)
Today I noticed it 2x on 2 differnent maps...one map being Masurao at 5:40-5:56pm and around 5 -5:30 pm on the previous map the name I dont not recall

This caused not only mine...but several other...maybe everyone's fps (if Im not mistaken) to drop to very low levels..

The exception being the summoner Roadkill (Rockwork as an engi)...which we theorized was either because he was the summoner or because he had a better computer, though Jams who has a very decent computer also experienced problems

The frame rate dropped to the red zone when ever you looked in the direction of the paladin.and slightly reduced otherwise....even after it went boom and the engineer left the game....
This is reset however if you leave and rejoin the game (with no paladin) and frame rate returns to normal

For me it dropped anywhere between 14 and 2..the latter being...difficult to shoot?

So uh..yes could this be fixed by chance...?please?
Or you can go Roadwork's route of re-instituting the Goliaths (I jest..)

Perhaps, spawning items where they are not meant to be is causing the problem. Think about it........a tank on Masauro!!!!!

Well that would make sense if it werent for the fact its only ever been exclusive occurred tot he paladin...the tanks never did it...not the turrets...scorpions..hellbenders or sentenals..
Just the paladin...so...conclusion...its just the paladin...maybe theres just some simple erro int eh code ..(or its too fancy and needs to be borified ie reduce texture details ?..I dunno...I just see what it does..)

The paladin wasn't part of the original ut2004, but added in the editors choice bonus pack. Could this have something to do with it?

I have seen fps drop when a pawn exceeds the dimensions of a room. maybe there is a problem with the paladin's tires sitting below the floor.

has anyone verified it wasn't the server that was overloaded...an overloaded server could cause low framerates when you look in a direction that requires alot of information.
