I present for your consideration that a medic should have a means available to them to start with a medic weapon.
WM: Can buy loaded weapons and/or denial and will then start with one or more weapons.
Engineer: Automatically starts with the ENG link of infinity
AM: Can buy denial 1-3 and thus start with one or more weapons.
If/when my medic dies in a late wave it is often difficult to get to a preferred weapon (rocket or flak) and then join the other players within 10 seconds (especially on a big map). Could they start with a medic rocket launcher for examlpe? ...or be allowed to buy "medic denial" which lets them keep whatever weapon was a medic weapon when they die?
I can't be the first one to think about this so give your feedback. I'd like to know what others think.
(or maybe I just need a cookie)

Well actually that sounds pretty good...the making sure the medic wep remains a medic wep upon spawn..WITH EXCEPTION OF SHIELD GUN...why?....I sometimes need to suicide since i mediced my shield gun.....and since i lose it upon remedicing a diff wep i need to get it back.. so i suicide ..
Well..I could jsut remake medic wep.then suicide..then medic w/e els ei want.. ..
eh...W/e....I thinkt he idea is generally good...add it on to the medic skill ...to keep the medic wep...or maybe make it a lvl 50 and up skill..or something....
But the medics cry out!:
"Give use are weps dang it we cant shoot!!..."

I think it would be fair if medics could spawn with a medic weapon. Even a low lvl engineer gets his inf link.

It makes more sense for an engineer to spawn with a link because there is no other weapon to heal structures and vehicles. Plus it's possible that a map may not have a link spawn. Medics on the other hand can use anything to heal, even assault rifles if need be.

A cookie for ZOG I think its a great idea
try dying on wave 12 or later and having to scramble around looking for any weapon
like the idea of medic denial best though make it costly 20-30 pts because as a 100+ lvl medic I don't die a lot (unless I'm trying to ultima a flock of warlords) and I can medic any weapon easily and have heal blast , but having the option would be very usefull to all level of medics

I think it is better for medics to have a Medic Weapon Maker that they can use on any weapon, rather than having one fixed weapon which is the healing weapon. Engineers have to use a link, and as ECHO says, if the map doesn't have one they are stuffed. So engineers have to be given a link at startup. But medics benefit from having the ability to choose which weapon they want as infinite.
Having said that, I am not against medics being able to buy denial 2 - which would keep them whatever weapon, not necessarily medic, that they were using when they died.

Yeah What echo said is valid..Spawning with medic wep isnt logical ...not to mention that someone will complain about not havign medic wep they want on spawn....bla bla bla..Denial ..however..is much more better.. ....
Also ....I still find it amusing..engineers can WMM their engi links.. ...lol..

I don't know about starting with the medic weapon..but I do like the idea of denial for the medic, especially on the later waves. That way we don't have to use so much adren making a medic weapon when we die. Granted, 10 adren is really cheap for an infinite weapon, but if your a low lvl and you die a lot, it's quite expensive.
So I say just have denial at some point become available for medics..OR...just start them off with a random weapon, not a medic weapon, just a regular. So they at least start instantly with something to defend themselves with...
