Thanks all! It has been a rather busy week, between some SCA stuff going on, work, and a number of other things. Avis ended up with a migraine on Thursday (the day after), and I had to take her to an urgent care to get a doctor to look at her. No idea what triggered it, but she now has two prescriptions for dealing with them: Motrin 600mg and Phenagren (for nausia). And so, between that and a followup appointment on this Tuesday, we will be better armed to deal with the next one.
On my birthday itself, Cat and her family (SCA friends who have essentially adopted us and made Av's birthday work out as well as it did, for those who read my MySpace blog last month) first made me a cake which they brought to the SCA meeting on Tuesday. On top of all the business we had that evening (a officer's meeting and the group meeting itself, after a baronial event last weekend), and photographs for the canton webpage, it was a long meeting. Then, on Wednesday, for my actual birthday, Cat (who is working with me on the group transition work), Avis and I went out to dinner at Red Lobster. So the evening was enjoyable (even with the downpour), regardless of my situation, thanks to this, the friends here in the SCA and the few from my HS, and my DC friends on MySpace. And now it turns out to be a little bit better than I expected, finally getting back into the DC forums.
As for this next week... Cat (also Linda on my MS friends list), her family, and I are going out for **her** birthday on Tuesday, going to Japanese Fusion for Sushi. And this weekend will have the three of us to Pittsburgh, to attend to some SCA business in the BMDL, including hopfully meeting with a laurel who has a number of interests which match up with mine. And hopefully, between then and now, I will have a chance to put it in my blog over on LiveJournal.
And so, Thanks Panda, Pryo, and the rest of you, who helped make my birthday just a little bit brighter.
