First, I went diving this weekend with my sister, and took the new camera with its housing underwater:

Second, my sister has a 2-3 month old Chihuahua named "Cesar":

Enjoy!

Those are outstanding pictures! That is awesome you got pictures of that jawfish. They are usually really shy. The color in your shots are very impressive.

This is one of the reasons I went back to still photography from video. The ability to have a strobe (or two) to get natural colors (as you start to loose red within 20 feet of the surface) instead of using a red filter is nice - and lessens the need for certain photoshopping. Heck, by 100 feet, it's all shades of blue for the most part, and while your eyes can sometimes take a guess and fool you into thinking there's a lot of color down there, the camera doesn't lie - or at the very least, is more sensitive.

The other one was that processing video is, frankly, a time consuming pain in the butt.

BTW: This Sunday I'll be in Pensacola, diving the Oriskany, and should have pictures up by the end of that week. Will of course post a note on the forums here when they're up. As I note on the pictures from Sept. 22, those are all macro shots. For the Oriskany dives, the camera will have a wider angle lens (first time that will go underwater anywhere other than a pool).
