WooHoo! Snow in tha mountains! W00T!!

Yep! Last night Utah's mountains got hit with snow! Mua haa haa haaaa, just made my Monday!

I think the mountains around me got a little snow over the weekend, but right now I'm happy to report that it's sunny here and not 110 degrees

we got SNOW above 1500 ft last week. luckily its still in the distance. Fact is we did not lose all of our snow on the mountains from last year.

....Weve got 0 snow in the last couple hundred yrs...>_>....uuuh.......Im leftout..

It must get pretty cold in Never Never Land.

When I was thinking mountains, I was thinking close ones, the geography here is such that unless you are on the water you are real close to the base of a mountain. The closest is only a couple of hundred yards out of my front door.

Here is a the view that I am confronted with each time I walk out my front door. (the view is actually a little farther from my house because I can get most of it within the camera frame.)

Wow, that looks nice. I would love to have that view out my front door. That reminds me of the Lake Tahoe area in California. Where was that picture taken? I know in front of your home, but what area of the country?

I live on Delta drive. The picture is of Thunder Mountain.

I hate to say it but I live in one of the poorer spots in town. High density housing (4 plexes are the maximum that is allowed in this area, 3 stories is the maximum height allowed to keep buildings from blocking the view). Its expensive to live here, not as bad as some places yet.

I live in a medium 2 bedroom apt that grosses around 730 sf. rent is 950.00. I pay utilities. Most lower end starter homes cost about 200,000. I have seen older trailers on lots near where I live go for as high as 145,000. so its mostly a land issue. But yeah, its pretty hard to live here and not have a killer view!

So I guess I shouldent add that you can bicycle up to the glacier (less than 2 miles) from my street!

Come on up if you ever get a chance, I love playing tour guide. Of course I understand if you want to visit Jason first, after all he lives on an Island in the tropics!
