sorry im posting another topic so soon but i didnt want to mix good with bad.

so about 5 days ago a couple boys stopped me and jacked my ipod so i went home, my mom called the cops and they got my ipod back and im pressing charges, anyways i have to go to court on thursday. they are being charged with robbery in the second degree mand i was wondering if anyone can tell what i should expect?
i have no desire to see these guys again, hell i dont even want to go, but i havent got a choice.
id greatly appreciate any advice or insight you guys may have

Sorry to hear that happened! Hope they nail them to the fullest extent. Well, you'll probably be asked to visually point out the offenders, then give a deposition on what happened. thats probably about it i would assume. Hope it works out for you.

Unfortunatly, I know much about this, pretty much what eme said... you'll be asked by the cops and maybe the DA what you want done... if they resist (don't plead guilty) you'll go to a hearing. They'll read off what happened and you can go home with your ipod and depending on the charges that stick, they could have bought a few ipods

Are they under 18? Also, be prepared to be pressured by the defense attorney. They will try and twist things around in an attempt to make it look like you are the bad person or perhaps that they were not the ones that did it. Were you alone when this all happened or were there any witnesses? If not, then it will end up being your word against theres even though the police found your property with them. The defense attorney will end up saying something like, "they found this equipment in a garbage...." or something like that.

one was 15 and was 17 and its pretty much over now, they said it probably wont go to trial cuz both boys confessed
