Where's Spacey??

I debated between that and "Where in the world is...", but folks would probably say I am more like Waldo than Carmen... LOL... Anyways, to answer the question which some of you apparently have had from brief convos with Sub, things the past...what... almost 6-8 weeks now have been rather insane. First, there have been the troubles on the home front, which have left me trying to get my 8+ hrs of work in before midnight. Add in the increased demands during a bug blitz prior to two releases and getting estate matters taken care of, there has been little time for fun. And then there was the trip out to Pleasanton which began on the 23rd for a week full of meetings running from 9am-4:30pm... Spacey has been feeling pretty spacey, but fortunately, there was last week... all three of us went out and spent last week going to Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay Aquarium, another trip into SFO (China Town and Ghirardelli Square mainly, for my wife's 51st bday on the 3rd), a trip up Mt. Diablo, a trip to the Chabot Science and Space Center (it got foggy that night, so no scope time

lt; ) and other miscellaneous adventures. The two main places we did not get to which we wanted (LLNL and Yosemite), Av and I will probably end up taking in next time the two of us go out. And no Cham, we did not make it to the Alemeda County Fair... to me, it looked less like a fair and more like an amusement park... I know REAL fairs, with lots of agriculture competitions, etc...

And I am finally going to accumulate some vacation once again... well, for a few paydays, until I max out again at 180hrs...

Of course, the redeye back was a real drag... getting into CMH at 6:30 and finding the van battery dead from the planes setting off the alarm too many times... oh well...

I will have some pics of the trip up soon, and things should start settling down a bit more. My wife will be up at the house in Columbus (it was to be until we sold the house up there, but this may turn out to be more permanent given the past few months), and I will be down here most of the time, except for when we run up to pick up things and visit. But my city-girl daughter loves it down here, and before the trip, we even signed her up at the new SD, and she will be tested in about a month to determine if she stays in the 8th grade (except for Geometry, which she will have to walk upto the HS for... ), or if given her advanced classes from last year, she will be up at the HS for all her classes, jumping from 7th to 9th grade instead.

She will almost certainly have teachers I had 25+ years ago, though... except she will not have the math teacher I had who helped identify me as gifted in math.

Either way... I got my workstations down here, as well as a couple of servers, and I might just be able to get the WS I play UT on the network before I head up to Columbus Thursday PM. I have an appt at my therapist to take a MMPI to try to confirm a strong possibility that I have Aspergers or some other ASD/BPD. That and a few other things up there, and then back down here until next Friday. And if I don't get things setup by the time I go up, then I should be able to get things up this weekend.

Now... I just need to find a Nerd/Geek skin for my engineer.

whoa, and I thought *I* was busy!

It's good hearing from you Spacey - take care and stay in touch as much as you can. We miss you in-game (or the few times a week I have to actually play).

I don't have your IM - but I'm not on a whole lot except for the weekends anyway.
