[less important]I was thinking the other day: "What buildings could be given to Engineers to help the team?" As of now, Engineers'stuff is all based on shooting enemies, or blocking enemies'paths, but I was thinking of something that would fill more of a support role. As of now, shields and HP can be healed, adren can be tossed, I thought for a brief moment about an Ammo Station that could be interfaced with to restore ammo. However, I eventually decided that players already have the means to restore/increase all number-based things, like ammo/shields/etc., and that engineer buildings that were like vending machines giving out health/shileds/whatever might destroy a large chunk of class indentity.[/less important]
Anyway, in my usual long-winded way, I have come to the point. Maybe, engineers could be given Onslaught teleport pads as a building (minus the floating thing). So, whenever there are two or more telepads on the map, a player can press E (or whatever they have their use button set as) while standing on a pad and temporarily dematerialize, while a map pops up. The map details the locations of all telepads on the level, the player picks one, and materializes there, just like in Onslaught. Maybe it would cost 3-5 building points or so.
As usual, I'm not sure about implementabilty, but at least this idea is based on something that's already in the game.

sounds like a great idea in my humble opinion
should they be all linked or only linked 2 one engnineer?
meaning if engin A summons 2 and engin B 1 ...does that mean if i run over to one of A's pads i can teleport to B's or A's pad|?..or only to the other A?
also this may seems stupid but like nods shuld they be destroyable? just curious..

They would be able to link to any engineer's telepads. So, with a lot of engineers on a big map, you could create a network of telepads for easy movement.
And like anything an engineer builds, it would be destroyable. But maybe it would have a lot of HP.
Of course, if it gets implemented, the developer guys may decide to change things, so they end up with final say.

sweet and sweeet...youd prolly end up with a 2 nod limit or so per engineer.. but this sounds fairly sound .. ..got my vote
ps i beleive there is a node like this without the top thingy already in the game in torlan middle node by raptor and amnta....
ps ps wat of ONS games..when they are rarely played?..the engin nodes will link up to the core nodes?...also ppl mite abuse the nodes to block up holes in the ground so im guessing it should only be summonable on completely solid ground
