I'm not sure if anyone has asked about this before but why does'nt the swap fire modes and other similar alterations to the default weapon config work during invasion?
Or am I not doing something right....

Rocket launcher you get the 3 rockets instead of 1, also you can make scripts in the user.ini file that will do things ie 1 button to switch to grenade launcher blow up grenades and then switch back to previous weapon, or another button to switch to the shield gun and then back to the other weapon when released ( like a block type of move ) also that file can be used to change mouse speeds for weapons like the lightning gun (you don't want it jumping around as much as the other guns)

It's because of the way RPG works. There's a post in the DruidsRPG forum about this http://www.disastrousconsequences.com/dcforum/posts/list/638.page

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

I use a Nostromo Virtual Keypad in the left hand and mouse in the right. The virtual keyboard comes with software that will execute these scripts for you (ie. bind the following to one key stroke; shoot granade, switch to rocket launcher, shoot launcher, switch to butcher knife, carve turkey, then jump down turn around and pick a bale of hay.) It works great for me.
