Healing Blast sometimes appearing under terrain. Many times when I've played on maps that are hilly or mountaineous(is that a word?), my healing blast goes under terrain and I sometimes get partial healing or even no healing at all. Maps such as DM-Mourning are one of those maps that I've played on today and it happened a couple of times. Do not know if this is new or not, but I haven't seen a post about this.

Actually I think we discussed this on the Developer's list but I can't recall if it actually was and if Szlat had come up with a solution?

Szlat, if you have, I must say I still see it happening from time to time ...

I have put a mod in cvs, so that instead of exploding on the surface of whatever it hits, the explosion occurs just a touch back towards the player. This should clear it of any irregularities of the ground.

However, some maps have some surfaces which do not stop traces very well (e.g. the sand in Archipelago) - I think you will just have to learn to avoid those places.

Also done to PoisonBlast, MegaBlast and FreezeBomb. Let's see if it improves the situation.

Healing Blast sometimes appearing under terrain.

Yes, it happens. So I never aim it to the ground, I just use the blast on a large area or a long strange hallway, then run to the blue sparky point and wait for heal. If you don't see the blue point appear, run away and find the other good area to make the blast.
