Major problem...please help

I'm trying to get back into the game after being absent for 6 weeks, and I'm having some issues.

When I try to join the server in UT, the game downloads the map and then when it reaches 100%, the map download starts again....only slower. If I let it keep downloading, it just goes past 100% and eventually I get the "connection lost" error.

So.....I cleared out my UT cache, and tried again. Now it downloads all of Dru's RPG files, Satore's monster stuff, etc., but same deal.....each file wants to download twice. Some go past 100% and keep going.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a free day to play while the wife and baby are away....and of course I run into problems....

EDIT: I did a full reinstall of UT to get a fresh start. Still encountering same problems. Maps start to download, get to 100%, then start over. Ugh, I am stumped.

Now I'm getting a 'general protection fault' error. It looks like this:

I had the same thing happen to me a while back...the map would load... and then instead of getting in game it would keep loading, I let it go up to 200 % once....I just waited a day or 2 and tried again..it worked just fine. Sorry I'm not much help

Did you recently install any software or hardware?

Maybe it is Minneapolis ? I have also been off a couple of months and I get the same message as the electrician.When
I do get on it only stays running a minute or two. I miss the monsters (and other players)
