I've been using the DropHealth command lately, and I noticed that nothing will register if you toss the packs directly to another player. The health-pack-pickup sound plays and the donating player's health decrements, but no HP is added to the receiving player. Seems to only work if you toss the packs to the ground and let 'em run it over. Bug? Or flaw we'll just have to live with?

Mmmmm. Thanks for the report. I'll have to set up a test system to try it out. Difficult to test in a way, because I need 2 machines.
The thrown health is just a normal health pickup that I just spawn in the air with a velocity. It should work like a normal health pickup.
Off hand, I don't see what difference hitting the ground makes, but we know it does from the way weapons/artifacts are handled differently. I suppose normal health just sits on the ground and is picked up, so executes the Pickup functions. The thrown health will still be flying, so might execute Touch functions rather than Pickup. I'll try and chase it up further.
The luck weapon just spawns them stationary a fixed distance away, but I didn't want to do it that way with the DropHealth. When I tried it, it didn't feel right.
I presume the same applies to DropAdrenaline as well?

Yes, it looks like it doesn't enter the correct pickup state until it lands on the ground. Managed to test by throwing into the air and catching it, rather than needing 2 machines.
So, I tried changing it so that as soon as it was thrown it was in the correct state to process touches. Unfortunately, that means I throw it, it notices I am in range, and immediately gives it back to me. So that is why it is coded so that it doesn't normally process touches until it has landed.
Let me try spawning it further away.

Ok, so new version in cvs that should fix for adrenaline and health.
Local testing and multi-player network testing seem fine.

While on this "drop health" topic... if a player has Smart Healing (probably maxed out) would it let them drop health and then gain more than what was dropped? Rinse and repeat for a small exploit (or combo as it was called in my M:TG days - looong ago)

Please do!!
It's becoming quite easy to kill them and invisability would present a new twist I'm sure everyone is looking for.
Also instead of growing in size could you make them smaller as they become more powerful, I feel this would much improve the game.

No exploit. If you have smart healing maxed, although the health pack is only 25, you lose 50 health when you drop it. So when you pick it up, you are back where you started.

Hey, it's a good thread and I've learned something.
Szlat has a very vivid and creative imagination and we don't need to feed him any more ideas.
