NCAA basketball tourny

Anybody have anything going with this at work or with friends? We have a pool going on at work. We all filled out a bracket for every game and put in a dollar. I was doing well till Saturday when Kansas lost

. I had them going all the way. I was tied for first place, but now I'm way back. A couple of others are in the same boat as me since North Caralina lost as well. I actually had Kansas and North Caralina in the final game. Oh well, didn't think Ohio would make it this far.

We will make it to the finals, somehow, and then we will blow it!

(I live less than 7 miles from Ohio Stadium and the Arena. Never been to a basketball or football game, even when I was a student, and never will. <puts on monty python lumberjack voice> You want a sport... a man-lee sport... try Hockey. Only the Canadians have a decent sports season... There is Hockey season, more hockey season, even more hockey season... and then there is summer break, which lasts the few weeks during which the ice melts. Great calendar, eh?)

Well, I did not watch the game, but while at Wally World to pick up a few things we seem to only find there (like my wife's water pills), they announced that we (Ohio State) would be playing in the finals. First time in my lifetime (barely plus a year... last time being in 1962).

What I find amazing is that we have a game with only 127 total points (67-62). Indeed, in a sport I have come to think of as having 150-200 total points in a game, the brackets as a whole look to have many scores lower than that this year. Not that I follow it much... I am more of a Football (Soccer!, not the stuff we Yanks call Football), hockey, cycling and diving fan.

What will I be doing Monday night... I will tell you what I will not be doing, even if it turns out to be OSU vs. Florida. I will not be watching the game.

Only a dollar?

Over here we did $5 each, with around 30-40 participants, winner take all. I put OSU and Florida in the championship game for fun (you know, seeing how they battled each other in football too)...

I guess it wasn't a bad decision. I'm winning our pool
