I was playing on another server (solely for testing purposes), and noticed something. When I summoned a Queen, and it did the head-swing thing that denotes a pupae spawn, pupae did spawn; but on the enemy side.
Correct me, but I believe currently Queens are banned from the summoning list because "their children would soon take over the map." But since the pupae come in on the monster side, and pupae are pathetic, and give no wave mistiming issues since they give no points, I was hoping maybe Queens could be re-enabled as a summon. Of course, probably only Onimusha could summon one, but that's beside the point.

Alterantively, maybe you guys (Szlat, I suppose) could make non-spawning "tame" versions of Queens and Giant Gasbags for us monster enthusiasts to summon. It shouldn't be any harder than making any other monster, right? That would be cool.

It's the nature of the stock Queen and stock Giant Gasbag to summon children. The reason why we don't allow those is because too many would result in a great load on the server - it's not a "take over the map thing", it's a "make the server catch fire" thing.

To make "tame" versions would result in coding time that I think the monster coders would prefer to spend elsewhere. Like fixing the red flies.

Ok.
Could someone please post the queen's code/ a link where I can download satoremonsterpack?
Coder's may have better things to do with their time, but I don't. Even if I have jack for UT coding experience.
Or if that's not possible/ convenient, just say so.

OK. After taking waaay too long putting this off, I basically figured it out, its just a matter of whether it works or not. It's a four step thing (Note: some of this may be the coding equivalent of paraphrase):

1) Create a new actor. Copy paste the queen's code.
2)Set the class name to druidtamequeen or something like that. Set is as a subfile/subactor/whatever of the regular queen, similar to titan/stonetitan
3) The Queen has a function Spawnchildren, which checks if the number of current children (which by default is pupae) is greater than or equal to Maxchildren (which is set using a .INI). Replace Maxchildren with a static number (zero).
4)Create a line in the summon area, probably it should cost 100 adren, lvl 15 LM, 15 MP

I haven't tested it, but in theory it should work.

If you 'extend' the Queen you don't need to copy / paste all the code just the spawnchildren function or anything that needs changing.

Ok then, just do the "extend" thing, and change the name, and do steps 3 and 4.

EDIT: Awesome! Thank you Moof

Note that it will be strictly up to Dru/Shan to get this into the game, as monster summoning configs are all INI/configuration file based.
