Actually, that's my gals favorite rose, the black ones. There are actually several types of hybrid black roses. There are red with black velvit on them to give them a very cool look. Others have black parts, and then the all, pure black peddled rose.
My current skin After several other skins, I have reverted back to Bender.

I love black roses too! In fact, I have a dried one hanging in my car at all times. It used to be you got the ones that were dyed, but like flakmonkey said they have really coo hybrids now.
Here's one for those who watch tv. On which current tv series has one of the main characters who's favorite flower is black roses, and expects them on her birthday every year?

those would be cool to see. i'll have to tryand find a pic. of them! but to be honest you cant beat sterling roses. they are a pale lavender with the most amazing scent! and thornless! i got to work at 8:30 AM yesterday to find wombat had already been there and left me some of those! how sweet is that?! but they are hard to find in good condition. alot of places have them but they are already dieing. the dont last long but they are worth it!

Have you heard about the "timeless Rose"?
I guess it comes in the special glass like container and lasts forever... I havent seen them but BigDaddy was telling me about them....only thing is u could never smell it, if you open the case it would die.

as stated you used to only find dyed black roses unless you paid good money like $35 for one back in the 70's... but my grandpa had breed a black rose, he was good like that had a tree with all the diff citrus fruits on it and a nother with like 17 diff things!. sorry no news clippings as proof..lost em
I may be getting old and falling apart but I can sure can raise Hell and have fun doing it!
