How can there be a UT3 if there are no UT1 or UT2?
I thought they were doing Unreal Tournament, Unreal Championship, and Unreal all seperatly...
They won't make as much money off of me if their only selling 1 title

I just got done reading all the news on BeyondUnreal.com. The chatter is hot and heavy since the posting of the name change and the new video.
Answer to the UT3 naming convention:
3rd gen of the game, and 3rd gen in the engine. Plus, it opens up the release date a bit instead of holding them to a year. Currently, it's now slated for 2nd half of '07. They want the time to do it right and not release it on a set date (i.e. MS style release theory...and my company too)
I'm just excited to here some news. Now to go to the official page and see how it has changed.... (darn, now I have to change the image I use for my 3D flying objects screen save...is the UT2007 logo)

Well, only the logo on the official site changed. The Links and the images on the company website still have 2007 and so is the domain name.
Tho, browsing the threads in the BU forums, one of the members had this as an avitar and I had to laugh.

I like how they made a sort of new version of the original intro to UT99. It veers away from what it was, and now it seems like the story actually might matter. But probably not... since the single player part of UT has never been as fun as the multiplayer. Not saying that's a bad thing, either.
