Just a note: at least some of the class-specific artifacts (at least Lightning Beam and Bolt) are droppable.

The Lightning Bolt and Beam I considered to be very similar to the Lightning Rod. The Rod is given to Adrenaline Masters on startup, but can be dropped and also is randomly dropped by monsters. So I made the Bolt and Beam behave the same.
To the best of my knowledge, all the other new AM artifacts (MegaBlast, PoisonBlast, FreezeBomb, Repulsion, DamageSphere, and InvulnerabilitySphere) cannot be dropped.
The HealingSphere cannot be dropped.
Engineers Link Gun cannot be dropped.
Because the Monster summoning artifacts could be dropped, I may have made it so the Engineer summoning artifacts could be dropped - I will need to check. However, they will only be of use to another Engineer.

There are two different kinds of monster summoning artifacts.
The one spawned from monsters is a "basic" MSA. However, M/MMs get a special set of MSAs that are not droppable.
Hence, ESAs should not be droppable.

A quick test shows me I haven't defined a pickup class for the ESAs, so you can throw them but no one else can pick them up.
I will change so they cannot be thrown.

I think that Shan has a good point that we really dont want people running around with the beam or bolt, as they're really quite powerful.
What's everyone's thoughts on this... do we really want weapons masters & medics with these artifacts?

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

I agree - I also think we should ditch one of them. I know their adren costs are different but in basic operation these two are so similar (one requires guidance, one doesn't) that I think we could do without one of them.
