In my opinon, ability names like weapons master and loaded weapons/artifacts/medic is a bit dull. It doesn't really give interest to the person(or well at least me). So I thought what about renaming them? It shouldnt be too hard(for me it is, I do not know how to change all that other stuff like Rosebum did or the A.S.S server). Do you guys think we should be able to rename the abilities or should we just keep them as it is and move on? If we do rename them, it should be under one subject/category, like greek mythology. What they used to believe their gods to be, such as Ares, god of war(could be replaced as weapons master) or Hades, god of the dead/underworld(maybe could be replaced by medics?). But that is just greek mythology, there are other categories to like medieval times or ancient China. Those are my opinion, renaming the abilities under one category. Yes, I pretty much did throw out too much of my opinons.

Actually, the whole Greek God thing sounds pretty interesting, but you'd have to wait for the concensus of the respectable players .
I once (when I was planning my own RPG) made a small list of each attribute a player had (Health, Armor, Adrenaline, et hoc genus omne) and everything that could happen to it (vampirism, regeneration, et hoc genus omne), and gave them each individual names, and they sounded pretty good. What you had to look out for was not using 'adrenaline' or 'adrenal' in the abilities having to do with Adrenaline. For one, it's a bit too blunt, and for another, there are cooler words you can use. At the moment, I have no idea what I called them, but off the top of my head, I'd call Adrenal Drip 'Unsteady Heartbeat' (would make it nigh-impossible for you to calm down), and the vampirism 'Malice Thief' or some such.
Yes, I think a renaming convention would be quite welcomed, all else equal, but unfortunately, everyone is very used to the current names, and there are always those people that antagonize everything you do. However, the other side of the coin can be seen; All of the names right now are pretty obvious as to their effects (except for Iron Legs...), so changing to more interesting names could cause confusion, and a whole lot of 'What does this do?'. At the same time, memorization of the effects of each Greek god (for example) would make newcomer gameplay a bit less welcome (not that RPG isn't overwhelming at first anyway).
But hey, that's just me.

Well, if they see the newly-named ability at first and does not know what it does... they could just click on info and read it couldn't they?

Never underestimate my languor, or do, I don't care, I'm too lazy to care.
But I do like the way things are now.... so don't change the names.

You mean I really am important? How I feel when I'm drunk is correct?

LOL nice fodder.
But I'll have to reinforce what he's said. The Greek naming system is a cool idea, I like it, but the current system has already been established. Not only would you have to change naming in the RPG, but also the FAQ and the recently added wiki. Seems like a lot of work remembering new names and changing things that already work. Too bad you weren't here when the classes were initially created to suggest that

I tried to keep the names in line with the UT2004 Theme.
If you want to change the names, by all means, extend the base classes and call them other things. It's not something I'm interested in spending my time on, and I enjoy the names.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.
