If I am correct in memory, I believe how "hard" the monsters are are based on average level of the living players in a wave. Something I was wondering though, is it truelly based on "Player Level" alone or how a player has distributed his/her points on stats, abilities, and/or class?

Example, if a lvl 100 medic was last one alive, would the monsters be the same "difficulty" as if a level 100 weapon master was last...

or

If a lvl 100 weapon master with 10 points on enhanced damage and max damage stat have stronger monsters to fight, if he was last, than a level 100 weapon master at max damage but NO enhanced damage ability were last?

It is based upon the level of the lowest level player still alive. It does not depend upon what class the player is, nor how he has distributed his points.

OK. My question is: If the lowest player alive is a level 100, what is the skill level of the monsters? 100?

Yup. And they spend all their points on Damage Reduction / Damage Bonus

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Its slightly more complicated than that. There is a configuration setting that determines what percentage of the lowest player's level gets applied. I think on DC it is set to 25%. So, if the lowest level player is level 100, monsters will have a base of level 100*25/100 = 25.

However, monsters also get a level increase based upon double the wave number. Assuming the waves are effectively numbered 1-16, then on wave 16 the monster would have
16*2 + (100*25/100) = 32+25 = 57.

This will give the monsters 57*7 = 399 points. As Druid says, this gets split evenly between DR and DB, giving the monster about 200 in each.

Hmm so at my current lvl of 134 being last man on 16...

16*2+(134*(25/100))=32+33.5=65.5

so...

65.5*7 = 458.5

In turn giving the monsters approximately 229 points of damage redeuction and bonus... No wonder they hurt so bad and take so long to kill .

Thanks again for the insight

The basic damage formula is
Damage = Damage * (1 + (InstigatedData.Attack - InjuredData.Defense)/200))

Ignoring the Enhanced Damage Bonus, plugging in your values,
on attack:
Damage = Damage * (1 + (80 - 229)/200), so you do approx only 25%
on defense:
Damage = Damage * (1 + (229 - 50)/200), so monsters do approx 190%

So are the monsters limited by the stat caps or do they go above that?
