Projectiles and Spheres

I've noticed that some projectiles will not penetrate spheres. While inside a healing sphere an avril will explode in your face (tried that about 3 times). I haven't been able to try this again, but my deemer exploded right as it was about to pass through a healing sphere from the outside. I tried firing one off from inside and it seemed to work, but I need to try firing one from the outside in again. Don't know about invulnerability or DD yet.

Ok, I tried avrils and deemers again today. Avrils didn't have a problem going in or out of a healing sphere. The deemer definitely did have a problem this time. It immediately exploded when the outer rim of the sphere was reached. (It was fired from the inside towards the outside)

I've failed to duplicate any exploding projectiles in a sphere. Either I'm not meeting some obscure condition that causes the bug or my connection is giving me such heavy packet loss that stuff explodes when it shouldn't. ::shrugs::

Thanks for trying. I haven't been able to reproduce it on a test server either. But something must cause it occasionally somehow?

I PMed Dru on this issue. Its an atribute of the Avril, and perhaps the Deemer to be shot down by friendly fire. The Avril/Deemer may consider the sphere friendly fire or an obstruction. Just a charactoristic of the weapon. But, if its an intermediate issue, than it will be harder to diagnose.

That's the problem. I can't figure out a circumstance that will cause the bug 100% of the time (and maybe I never will).

Unless you can test it with no other actions happening during play, no friendly fire, no enemy fire, it's going to be a tuff one. The mini has a prety sparatice direction of fire with the primary selected. That's what gets me most of all during game play, I believe, when my Avril gets shot down in front of me. usually in a crowd.

So, it could have been a fluke...or friendly fire, if it cant be reporduced. We will just have to keep notice of when it happens next.

Right, and I took friendly fire into consideration, but healing spheres tend to occur more during the calm period between waves when there is little to no friendly fire. Until I or someone else finds a way to reproduce the problem, it'll have to pass as a fluke. But until that time, I'll keep trying.
