Neat web sites I have found out about over the past couple of weeks.

Over the past few weeks, I have found out about a couple of neat sites on the
web which I figured I would share. Indeed, for those of you who are on myspace, I have added links to these in my profile.

The first of these sites is one which is going to help in cataloging my DVD collection. Given how many we have (several hundred), the only thing we need to catalog more are the books we have and the shows we have recorded. I am only getting started, but you might want to take a look at this to see what you think. My list can be viewed at:

In addition, today I found a neat site while looking at the Rhythmbox music player on Fedora Core 6 Linux. This site allows me to share with folks what I am listening to, with only a few minutes lag. I need to write a plugin for Rhythmbox to interface with the database which I have been building using two other programs, Digital DJ and Grip (as well as getting those built for FC6), and may add my own private equivilent at the same time, but that will be for later. Last.FM is great, I love it. It creates a chart of the Artist, Song Names, and most played artists for you... so whenever you listen to a song in iTunes or Winamp it will "scrobble" it onto your personal website thing, it's really neat!

Wow, thanks for reminding me about dvdaficionado. I made my list like a year ago and then forgot, lol.
