try going onto server and get this error

. i do think its about the server tick rate can anyone help me sort this out

Two things that pop into my mind.

1. Have you loaded the lastest version (3369) of UT 2004. If not, you can get it at

2. Are you using a game disk that was purchased used/previously played?

If you have the update loaded and a new game disk (not used by another player), I would remove the entire contents of the game from your pc and reload the game.

I have to suggest:
- Did you overclock your vid card or cpu
- Did you download some new skin
- And try lowering your settings, if you used the advanced perferences then reset them.

Looks like your using the latest build as far as I can tell, If youve got a ut2004rpg or druidsrpg installed I make sure youve got the latest (available) version of them... from the looks of it it's got something to do with the hud perhaps...

When exactly does this happen and can you spectate at all?

i can spectate but not play everytime i join it waits till i start to play then i get the ut crash .

i play on other servers that have druids and also other ons jb and things like that been playing for long time but for some resone i can not join your server.

well if nothing can be done but a complete ut reinstall i think i will have to wait got to much to lose to reinstall all.
but we will see later .

You could always copy your map's and skin's to a backup directory, then reinstall.

I'm betting its version mismatch or something similar.. I'd try uninstalling druids/ut2004rpg (if installed) and clearing the cache before I did a total reinstall. Lots of changes to druids rpg recently.

yep tryed that one but still no good is there ant other file apart from the ones in system named druids

i've seen somebody on my forums with nearly same error about a year ago.
the problems were solved when i took out the radar bit, and he could connect fine again.

but he also tried a lot, reínstalling the game, noticed being able to spectate. and several other things i dont remember. (hey it's a year ago.. what can you expect.

) (and yes, he played on my server a decent amount of time before. so it wasnt his first time trying to join either.

though i'd just share this, maybe its of some use that bigdavet is not the first.

so is the rador in a different file other than starting with druids as i may have not deleted it and that may help

I beleive the hud is in ut2004rpg,

v2.2 is the latest available at http://mysterial.linuxgangster.org/UTRPG/

It sounds to me like you've got an old version of UT2004RPG installed. You can either install 2.2 from the url above, or alternatively, search through your c:\UT2004\System directory and delete any copies of UT2004RPG.u

If that doesn't work, I'd start looking at your hardware next. Have you run memtest86+? You might want to test out your memory with it http://www.memtest.org/

Also, these days if you've got a decent video card, and have less than a 400 watt power supply, you may be in trouble.
