The reason we're running a preview event on the engineers, is to get a feel for how they work, and what skills are overkill and need to be tuned down, what skills are too weak, and what costs to assign the various skills. From there we'll tune it... how? by evaluating all the skills very carefully.
Great idea. I notice you are also thinking about testing out MedicAwareness at the same time.
Is it worth considering adding some different monsters at the same time, and make it into a 'mega-test'? Or will that just confuse the issue?

At least I don't have to worry; even though I'm a poor college kid who can't afford to contributer , I wouldn't have been able to play anyways. This makes me feel a little bit better.
Now I'd assume the test would have a direct effect on the public release schedule, but what would you think would be a realistic time line for the public release?
Also, I don't remember if this was mentioned in the original post, but is the normal server going to stay activated, or is the test going to use that one?

w00t being a poor college kid! I won't be able to contribute again until the quarter ends and I'm able to get a job again. Filing at a Dr.'s office here I come!
Wouldn't it be a bad idea to test new monsters and the new engineer class together at the same time? I don't know much about coding in UT, but I'm a computer science major and, in my own experience, I usually test one thing at a time. I mean, what if the two start conflicting with each... that'd be one huge headache to sort everything out.

Just a thread bump with a question...
...when is the next engineerBeta round gonna be? I'd love to give it a run, just curious if it's gonna happen.
cheers.

Stephen: Stephen is my name. I'm the most wanted man on my island, except I'm not on my island, of course. More's the pity.
Hamish: "Your island"? You mean Ireland?
Stephen: Yeah. It's mine.
Hamish: You're a madman.
Stephen: I've come to the right place then! |

It's quite possible we'll be running another preview in the very near future. Once again, this preview will only be open to current DC Reserved Slot Contributors.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.
