Alright everybody. It's the moment you've all been waiting for...

This coming weekend (Nov 4-5), we're going to attempt to do an engineer preview for contributors.

Here's how it will work:

1) You must be, or become a contributor.
2) Join the game with a new name that you'd like your engineer as, and play for a minute or so, then logout. Don't use an existing name, even if you've intended that name to be an engineer. You will loose any stats, skills, or levels on this player name.
3) email your information to the admin address. If you don't know the admin email address, send a blank email to administrators@disastrousconsequences.com. The automated response will tell you how to find the actual admin address. Please don't PM us for this. We wont be checking our PMs when we set up the accounts.

When the engineer preview goes live, the name you specify will be cleared of any skills and be setup as a level 100 Engineer without any other skills. Possibly during the preview, your character will be reset back to 100 multiple times.

At the end of the preview, this engineer account will be deleted.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Greetings everyone,

I'd like to say our engineer preview for this weekend is sadly at an end.

The knowledge that we've taken away from this preview has been invaluable in terms of balance changes needed and overall performance.

A number of you have provided wonderful feedback that the development team will take to heart in making further decisions in our closed forum.

To those of you who felt this preview drastically unbalanced the game, it may have been in your best interest to read the preview post first, to consider what this was about.

I would like to raise a glass of virtual wine to Szlat for putting the major portions of the engineer class together, and also to BotFodder and Moof for adding some features and numerous bug fixes to this release.

I believe this release represents a major turning point for the DC community in its' ability to grow and change.
