I just checked in 2 new skills, and if anyone has time to give them a spin, I'd appreciate it.
They're both vehicle skills. One adds an autoeject on destruct every so often, the other adds stunts. After this rolls out, I'm going to gank the two similar mutators from the server, and people will have to buy these skills.

Haven't tried eject button yet. Stunts work but I don't get the little indicator for jump power that I'm used to seeing.

Eject appears to work.
Sentinels can be summoned in mid air and stay up there ...
I didn't have anything in my INI about what vehicles and turrets I could summon so I could only summon one of each.

I wasn't sure whether to leave it like this or not. Sure, crawling monster can't get you, but you are an easy target for long distance fire. And you can't always target stuff on the ground beneath you, due to the angle you would have to tilt the turret to.
Should I try just to get them to fall?

There is a sample set in the UT2004RPG.ini in cvs, under [DruidsRPG200.AbilityLoadedEngineer]

Don't loose sleep over it. I must tell you though, as a like 150th level Engineer with some health points into my turrets, three sentinels kicked butt right up until the Titan wave ... and then it wasn't hard to replace them as they were squashed.
The other thing is that I had no way of knowing how healthy they were and I thought you were working on some kind of health meter ... no biggie really, it's like a M/MM without Awareness ...

In the early waves, they do really well. Once monsters with decent offense get in, they don't last so long. But, yeh, I mention to Dru yesterday that I thought they might be a bit overpowered.
One thing I am looking at is to reduce the starting health of the sentinels. At the moment, they have 1000 health, which takes a lot for low level monsters to get rid off. I am trying to make it ini configurable. If they only had 200 health, you would have to care for them a lot more.

Yes, agreed. For some reason it is just the Sentinel - the link sentinel and the ball sentinel both work ok. It will be some obscure flag somewhere. I have spent a couple of hours looking for it, but no joy yet.

It would be nice if they obeyed the laws of physics if they were summoned in midair... <shrug>

Another bug I've noticed is that I can keep buying levels of Vehicle Ejection without a cap. I'll have to look in and fix that.

Hey if anyone has a moment, will you tell me where my idiot error on Eject is? I reread the code, and I cant think of any way that I could keep buying as many levels of the skill as I wanted...

Didn't you change around the cost thinger? It might be in there, as I don't see it either (I should compare it to something else to be sure...)

I do not see that error with the current CVS version of this ability.
