Gears of War Theatrical HD Trailer

Gears of War is Epic's next big game. (Epic is the maker of UT.)

This isn't so much a trailer as pure awesome contained within a one minute video. If you haven't seen it, you need to.

And a little history for those who don't know much about the song:

This song was originally performed by Tears for Fears. Then a Little movie came out, that has a pretty big underground cult culture following, under the name of Donnie Darko. This song was redone by, as someone has already pointed out, Gary Jules for that movie. I have loved that song ever since I heard it.

Why shouldn't Epic explore a little bit in ther advertisement. They could play the hockey pockey in the background of this trailer and the game will still sell millions of copies. Kudos to Epic for having a little fun and actually using suc an emotional song to advertise such a hardcore FPS game.

yup, I've always liked the Donnie Darko version better than the Tears for Fears one, but I love the song.... does this game come out for just 360 or pc as well?

Gears of War is going to be frickin awesome. Pure and simple, when I saw it, I kinda mistook Malcom being in Gears of War. I was like whoa! Trip out, that would be awesome if one of the most famous people from Unreal Tournament was in that game. >

It is going to release strictly on the 360 right now, I am sure eventually it will release on PC but I wouldn't hold my breath on it soon. For example, Halo, was out for a while on the X-Box and took a long time to release for PC.

You should just get a 360 =)

Ive posted a few remarks in the BU forums about GOW. My biggest comment on GOW as that, ya, the screen shots are awsome. BUT....unless you have an HDTV to play the CONSOL ONLY title, you will only get to see it at the max res of you old standard TV can display. And even at 1080i(p) resilutions, it's not as good as the screen shots are taken at, well some of them anyways. Unless you rig your 360 up to a nice size monitor to display such pristine images, I think people will be sadly dissapointed with the game on a older TV. But like anything in the computer world, software drive upgrades. So thoes who buy a 360 and GOW and still has just an oldwold TV, it may drive them to buy a nice HDTV, just like UT2K7 may drive us to up something in our own systems to make it playable, or any other new title we buy for our gaming pleasure.

It will be releasing for PC, as far as waiting, I love my UT so I aint in a hurry

Honestly tho, from the reviews that I have read, It will not support a lot of people in the online version. If I remember correctly (always a stretch) maybe 6 people to a team? 12 per server? Something like that....

Yea the game Looks great but that is not the only reason I am getting it. Finally another game that supports co-op story, even online. Thats so much fun. I remember several nights sitting in a buddies room playing Halo co-op all the way to the max level.

There are a couple of other Co-op FPS games coming out soon, one of them is Resistance: Fall of Man (for the ps3 only

. Another one (don't remember the name) is releasing with C0-op requirements, there are things in the game that require 2 people to do and you will have to play with another person (or bot?).
