With the new server, the number of times each map has been played was reset. Maybe 30% of the maps have 4 or more plays, and there's still a significant number - more than half - with one or less total plays. Then there's a very small number of maps - 33 as of this post - with double digit play counts.

Could we get the time between when a map is played extended drastically? I'm getting kinda tired of playing the same maps over and over and over

I agree. I usally try and vote a map that has 0 plays, but in not a single time lately has it been picked.

The problem with that though, is some of the maps that don't get played, suck. Some are fun though so it's possibly worth the gamble.

The rule I use, is if there are a few people, yeah I will vote for a map that I know. This may be a small vote map or even a large voted map, but something I know.

Now if there are a few players, I will always vote (well I try) to vote a new map. My reasonng behind this is because I am unfamilar with the map I would hate to see 3 players total on the server end up voting for a new map and find out that it is huge. A huge map with 3 people stinks.

Now with that said, I have gotten a few of the zeros taken care of with a lot of help from the veteran players. They see it is a new map and they will vote to usually make it happen.

I've been noticing an improvement with map popularity. I usually split my vote 50/50 between popular and unplayed maps, but lately the 0-plays maps have been winning the vote. And through this, I've discovered my new favorite map, Koma.

I personally wouldn't mind if the maps were cycled through completely randomly, or even in consecutive order... both invasion and vehicle invasion, and occasionally an onslaught map as well. I feel like I've only gotten to play about 20% of the maps available.

Maybe it would be possible to have a random VINV, INV, or ONS map force-selected on every 3rd map played, and allow voting on the rest?

Agreed Piper. Yeah, I always try to play new maps, even if I have no clue what it is, they are on the map list for a reason, someone (Dru/Shan) liked it. If it wins the vote and sucks we can always vote off it.

I would be happy to increase the frequency. I would like it known, however, that every time this is suggested (and done, as we have done it several times) many people whine that their favorite maps are always greyed out.

Second, I veto the idea of random map selection. When there's twenty people on and they actually choose a 1-on-1 map, that's their fault, but if the server were to choose such a thing that would suck.
