Why do youse listen to while playing UT?

Lately I've been listening to Muse, I recently found them and instantly fell in love

I think there was already a thread like this a year ago or so, but oh well.

Perhaps I'm a total noob, but how do you use the embedded music player in UT2K4?

F11 - mind you that the random and repeat functions don't work all that well.

IIRC you click on the folder icon, and then "Add" and browse to where your MP3s or OGGs are.

In UT, I have cranked almost everything down so that I can hear my surroundings. I started this back in the early days of UT99, when I would have to hear somebody sneaking up on me from behind before they planted a round or two from the pea-shooter right between my ears. I did that to them too often for any of us to count, and they felt it was only fair to try to return the favor, but too often they would find I would either shoot a goo blob at the ground while jumping over it, jump and turn to hit them with the flak or ripper, or some other nasty. I even would get them with the pea shooter or sniper in a jump and turn. > But that was games like DM, TDM, or LMS, and things like sniping and ambushes were the way... can't do that on DC. But hearing the bugs come up on me from behind has saved my bacon quite a few times, particulary when they come around a corner right behind me.

As for what I am listening to most right now... Lots of Blackmore's Night and Cascada (just got that for a late bday present, ripped it, and wearing the bits off the harddrive now), with a goodly mix of The Moody Blues, Nena, The Vapors, and The Hollies thrown in. Need to get some more tunes like from Emma Bunton (Free Me), Paris Hilton (Stars are Blind), DJ Alice, Miss Kittin, DJ Tiesto and a few others which I have been listening on Yahoo!

My favorite is probably Meshuggah (including Fredrik Thordendale's side project), you just cant beat polyrythmic metal

Also anything else metal (leaning towards the "really heavy stuff" though)

I turn all music down - but if I ever do fire up anything, it's some type of techno (for playing UT or other FPS's)

I do not listen to anything, accept the monsters. I find that most of the time you can hear them before you see them. Even if the music was low volume, I'm to old to multitask, so I guess I am stuck with just listening to the monsters grunt.
