I'm gonna be a daddy! **UPDATE**

Just found out this week that my wife and I are expecting our first little one.

We've been trying for quite a while now, so I just told myself not to think about it too much. Then this week, the day before my wife's birthday, we found out she was pregnant. Talk about a spectacular birthday surprise!

I'm out of my mind excited...........and a wee bit nervous.

Not sure if it has completely sunk in yet, but I can't wait to be a dad.

It's also our five year anniversary next month, so the timing seems altogether magical.

Anyhow, here's to nine months of up's and down's, with a happy ending of a healthy baby!

Congratulations!! That is so exciting! Like you said, what perfect timing!

I know this is jumping the gun a little, but have you thought of any names you'd like? I know a lot of people pick out a name for each before they are even expecting.

Will you post pictures when the little one arrives?

Congradulations! That is indeed wonderful news and perfect timing! Good Luck! I know you just want a healthy baby as everyone does, but do you have a preference as to wether you would like a boy or girl? And will you be finding out the sex of the baby or letting that be a suprise as well?

To answer one question, no I honestly don't have a preference of a boy or a girl. Although, it'd be tougher for me to watch "daddy's little girl" go out on dates, etc. I just want a healthy, happy baby.

As for names, we have thought of a couple for each....

Girl names: Arianna, Lily, Alexandra, Lauren

Boy names: Layne, Troy, Ian, Jacob (no, not like Jakob)

We bounce names off each other regularly, and get rid of the ones we both absolutely don't like.

I will most definitely post pics when available and let ya all know if we decide on a boy and girl name.

Now you do know that when the baby is born, the first words that you teach the baby should be "Ultra Kill" or any of the UT famous lines. You might want to wait on teaching them the "Combo Wh..e" quote.

Well, the wife and I went to the doc's today for her 5-month checkup and ultrasound, and...................................................................................

............................it's a boy!

But more importantly, all of his little organs and parts are in the right place and he is developing normally.

Anyways, I'm excited beyond belief, and just had to share the news with my DC family.
