I am just asking for other peoples opinion and I am just wondering what other people think about loaded weapons and the levels. If your not aware, you can get loaded weapons 2 at level 40. What I do not understand is why open up the rest at level 55. It would be nice to gradually open up to get to the final level on weapons master.
Now for me, I have been saving my points so in 1K exp. I will be at level 55 and will have the points to buy all of the levels.
I wouldn't even mind seeing level 47 = LW3, level 54 = LW4 and level 61 = LW5. Yes this makes it longer to get to LW5, but you are awarded throughout your progress.
Ok folks, what do you think about the levels for LW's?
Thanks for your opinon.

It's an apples to oranges comparison, I'll admit, but:
An LW has to wait, as you outlined, for the LW skill levels.
An LA character can buy LA 1-3 at level 5 if they have the points and so desire (admittedly it would probably take them a bit longer to actually get all the points - too lazy to do the math right this second).
Let's not penalize the LW guys any more than they already are in this.

It used to be that LW had more pre-requisites (vamp and resupply, I think). It was awhile ago, I might be mistaken.
At any rate, I like it the way it is now because new players can get up to speed faster and enjoy the game at more levels. It also allows longtime LW players to try out new classes with less of a "grind".
And let's not forget... ut2007 is just around the corner.

I don't think that 4 and 5 are that big of a deal. I don't intend to buy them until probably closer to 80th level. I want ghost and my movemnet and jumping upgrades first.
I play late late at night or early in the morning so there are less players on for the most part, survival is more important than having a positive magic weapon.
As an example- Subdude and I are roughly equal in skill and play at simmilar times. We also have nearly the same level LW characters. He has purchased loaded weapons 5. For the same cost I have Vamp 3 and regeneration 1 and 1 level of movement speed.
His loaded weapons player rarely outscores mine despite the positive magic weapons.
His AM character is another story however
so to anwser your queastion, It don't matter to me....

You should really buy vamp and ghost first then buy all the other after. They will help you A LOT and you will live more

I believe the only requirement was resupply, but it's probably been over a year since I purchased it.
I think it's fine the way it is. It's more important to buy some of the other skills first anyway like vamp, regen, weapon speed....I don't think I even bought loaded 1 until around lvl 45.

in the very beginning it started with resupply, and IIRC not to longer after that vampirism and regeneration came along.

We put in the level 40 limit to prevent newbies from buying the skill and nuking everyone.
When we first released it, everyone went for level 3 so as to get the nuke. Then we ended up with a lot of dead players.
Originally, you could buy level 3 within about 4 or 5 levels of starting

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.
