Hey, remember the other night I was complaining that the "technology" section of the evening news here was hopelessly behind the times? They suddenly discovered that iPods have ACCESSORIES.
Well, tonight's feature:
Books on tape being released as MP3s and as standalone players.
I think they're stuck on MP3 players or something.

FTR, cows don't really "moo". They kind of "mer". Therefore I have concluded that your name should be merf instead of moof.
On topic, I agree with the lameness of local news reporting tech. In our area they only do it where there haven't been enough killings, fires, or other divine destruction to cover the whole hour. And yeah, when they do it's always something severely outdated.
I can't stand bobblehead news. =p

I agree they they are behind the times, but it is amazying but true is alot of people do not know that information.
My wife which is somewhat technically challenged (she got on the internet 1 year ago for the first time). Anyway, just last weekend, she found out that you can actually store pictures on the internet.
So I guess these reports are good for certain people.

I'd conceed that. I'm not really the target audience for the nightly news I suppose. I have no doubt there's been plenty of marketing done to figure out that their audience would in fact benefit from somewhat "dated" tech info.
I still hate the nighty news

I do not watch any news at all. I have a built in filter in the house that watches like every news channle and then procedes to tell me the important stuff. (And I love her dearly, we are going on 18 yrs together.)

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"
