When someone joins the server with a name that someone else has used and it show "_impersonator" at the end of the name, is that a regular invasion server thing or is this part of a mod that Druid has created? I have a question in the forums on my server (someone from another server is asking about) that is asking about this. I'm wondering if this is downloadable. Any info would be appreciated.

i think its actually part of UT2004RPG, not from the, not from Druid.
IIRC correctly, i even seen a bit of code about it a good while back.

Without digging through code, I'd say it's logical to assume that it's from Mysterial's UT2004RPG.
I've glanced at Dru's stuff, and nothing dealing with this jumped out at me. Knowing how a given character's stats are stored, it makes sense (and kudos to Mysterial for catching it) that this would be needed on basic RPG servers.
Though with some of the more common names, I'd be interested in getting a glance at some servers' INI files to see how many of the more common names they have ... can you imagine it?
Joe_Imposter_Imposter_Imposter_Imposter_Imposter_Imposter_Imposter ...
If you connect with a clearly "naughty" name, I think you get prompted to change it (preventing the need for admins to deal with the obvious, not-obfuscated ones, and you're not bounced off the game, but given a blank to enter a new name into). I wonder if that would be a decent option to the "_Imposter" tag?
That's the problem with RPG newbs though - if someone doesn't point out to them the name issue, they end up sticking with _Imposter (and in at least one case I've seen, _Imposter_Imposter) at the end of their name.

Yup. Mysterial coded that part so no one could 'steal' someone else's levels just by changing their name. He's good at thinking ahead of the easy exploits like that.

The most I think I've seen is 'Player_Imposter_Imp' and after that it takes too many characters to put more 'imposters' at the end. If a third or fourth person connects with the same name they are given a number only since they cant use enough characters to put the proper number of 'imposters' at the end. So their name would be something random like 55910.
Also, I find that very few people use names so common that more than one other person uses the same spelling. I mean who really joins a server with just 'Joe' as their name?
