An update for the baby. So far the baby is doing well and staying healthy. At around 10:01PM last night my wife felt something uncomfortable and then felt it again. So she put her hand on her tummy and it was the baby rolling around.

. Sooooo....I wanted to feel it too and I poked my wifes belly and put my head down to it as well....Then I asked the baby to roll/kick again. The baby did it again a minute later after I asked. I think the baby was contemplating whether to do it or not. I was like EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. lol. Anyway there's the best news now on to just better news, my wife and I are going in for our 5 month check up and to possibly get to know the sex of our CHILD.

Wahooo. (jumps up and clicks heels)

when we had our youngest ultrasound done just before the nurse snapped the pic she waved her hand across the screen it was like she waved to us! it was so cool

Isn't it exciting?!?! I'm soooooo happy for you. The moment you hold your child for the first time is beyond description. You must post pics.

So we went in for our check up and we learned it was a (Drum roll please)................BABY BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOOOOO!!!. Our Doctor said the baby is doing well. No cleft lips or noses and all the measurements for the baby were in the norm.

. So he's healthy, Tamara's healthy, and although I'm bouncing off the wall in the euphoria of becoming a dad to a BABY BOY I'm doing well too.

Ok OK calm down drink a cold six pack of your favorite brew and then Do'nt call me in the morn!

. The babies growing and doing great. I love the kicks, especially when my head is on her tummy so I get kicked or punched in the ear. It's exciting. Now all we have to do is go take a birthing class and tour the hospital. I went to a daddies bootcamp class expecting to learn how to change diapers, wash the baby, clothe the baby, and so forth and so on. That class was a total bust except I got to clothe and put the diaper on the baby doll. lol. That was it so the rest of the time they talked and oh I did learn how to swaddle the baby too. There's the update and my wife's doing good.

Yes you Must swaddle the newborns it reminds them of the closeness of the womb and helps keep them happy

learned that just over 7 yrs ago with my 1st blood child, was never told about it with my step grand kids lol and I had them 1st! so go figure that time line!

Too swaddle it easy! I was so scared when my Nic was born, he was very tiny, and I was afraid to pick him up. Well, the nurse couldn't wrap for crap and his little feetys were cold so I maned up and did it. My dad explained if very succinctly, just wrap them up like you were doing a sub with the top open for eating in the car. LOL, worked like a charm!

Another update....So far so good. We're down to our last month for the baby and the doctor says we're not only doing well but says we are his easiest patients ever.

My wife actually lost some pounds when she first got pregnant and now she's back to where she was at when we first found out she was pregnant. We've bought since then.....Several onsies, a few outfits, THE CRIB!!!, a ground play thingy, Diaper Genie, A thing of 79 diapers for newborns, a thing of 120 diapers for size 1's, and A thing of 130 diapers for Size 2's. We're awaiting our stroller which my brother is getting us for christmas...The stroller comes with the carseat and a carseat base. We're now looking for another one that is just as reliable for the other car. My wife is currently a multi store manager with Payless in Billings, MT. She now works 45 hour weeks and is still doing well. Granted I rub her feet and calves on almost a daily basis.

. Gotta keep the momma strong and relaxed. Anyway that's the update thus far and I'll be listing next time the date and hours Baby Haydn Phelps Barfield is born. Due date Jan. 13th is coming up fast.

DUDE!!! BUY MORE DIAPERS!!! you are WAY under stocked! you will go thru an easy five+ a day with out even blinking an eye! and the neat part if the child out grows them there are other ppl that can use them!

and a diaper genie takes special bags that cost alot! just get a lided trash can and stuff a stick on air thing on it and Don't get a big can cuz it'll really stink come empty'n time!

OH here's a heads up!...the first few times of #2 for the baby is a blackish dark green it looks NASTY!!! LMAO!!!

yeah but it doesn't smell to bad till later on (solid/mushy food = peeuuw

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ATTENTION EVERYONE! I HAVE NEWS FROM FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At 4:13 AM i got a text from Fire telling me that his wife was in labor (started at 2:45 AM) and they were just getting into the ambulance to go to the hospital!

Then at 9:56 AM Baby HAYDN PHELPS BARFIELD was born 12/26/2010! He weighs 7 lbs 5 oz and is 18 1/4 inches long! He has lots of hair and is VERY healthy!!! Mommy and daddy are doing GREAT! he wanted me to give you all an update for him and to tell you that he misses you all and W00T W00T!!!!
