New and Improved DC Startup Program

I downloaded it again, v1.0.5, and it still does not ask for the privileges, but it seems to be working even without them now.

Correction: It does ask for admin privileges.

Well that's okay . . . maybe. You might not be able to save your characters, and the keybind update may not work. I think the program still needs those priveleges to create files and folders in the "programs" filepath.

Please test the program with this: move your DC Startup folder somewhere else. The program should fail to save your players. When you are done, you may put that folder back where it was. It'll start working again.

This privileges thing is driving me insane. Lol. I have one more trick up my sleeve to get it working.

New version up. Need to make sure it asks for administrator priveleges.

Turns out that you can start UT with it setting up "exec" keybinds for you. That means your keybinds for whatever character you pick will have the keybinds set up the moment you log in. Exciting!

I was a little afraid of having the program edit the User.ini, but now it shouldn't . . . at least not directly.

Oh. Some players' stats aren't downloading correctly. This is because this site isn't loading their stats right. I have yet to know what warrants this odd issue.

This whole keybinds thing is turning out to be a little more complex than I had first thought. Trying to get a windows form to accept keyboard input is a pain the rear. Hmm . . . maybe I'll use a combo box instead . . .

/collaborative story writing, I won't have much to time to work on this. I'll keep trying to work on it when I can. Expect it to be done in 1-2 months. Yeah.

I would like everyone who is still interested in this program to know that I am still working on this; the project isn't dead!
