Ideas for new mall-themed map

Jefe, I will work some more on them. Thanks for all the input. More ideas spawned from everyone's comments.

I'm creating a sign for the middle of the floor with a person outlined on it. Says "Free Photos" Has a target on the head and in the body outlined will be "Please stand here". Off to the side it will say "Wait for the flash"

Another smaller sign I have says "Caution!" If you have stopped to read this, your a target."

Think I will take on the mobile phone sign as well...

Oh and Joe Satriani music is awesome! I like it a lot.

Need a large Welcome to the ??? Mall sign to hang from the ceiling.

Was also thinking of some graffiti on the walls. Some clan war paint or something...will have to make in .PNG format for it to work right tho. Don't know if you can use that format or not.

@Flak If you're using photoshop you can send me the psd files (j.e.f.f.r.e.y._.d._.9.9.@y.a.h.o.o..c.o.m. delete the periods, spam protection), that would best so I can make adjustments easily. Otherwise format doesn't really matter, I have to convert it to something clunky to import into unreal ed.

The photo booth idea is pretty cool, I like it.

I don't know about graffiti, wasn't really the direction I was going for. I want the place to look like it was being used and maintained until Liandri forced everyone to vacate.

Then again graffiti could work in that context. For the welcome sign, I still need to come up with a name for the mall, but I was considering retexturing some of the hanging flags you see in CTF maps for signage. (Speaking of that, VCTF is a possibility for this map.)

@ Roadkill I'm not sure what meshes I'll need at this point. I'm going to try contact a few people who have done realistic maps to see I can use some of their stuff.

I did put in the Vehicle_DM_AI_Mutator so the ufo is spawning in the map, and I'll see how vehicles work with standard gameplay. If anything I might release a DC specific version with the vehicles.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if the vehicles would spawn on the server in invasion mode. VCTF-Rivercanyon2, for example does not have vehicles in invasion mode, just DM modes.

I suggested the UFO, but not to fly LOL..need an outdoor map for that. I was suggesting it more of an ornate centerpiece or something...on a pedestal, like the UFOs from the Worlds fair shown in Men In Black...

Or, you can put a price tag on it and put it in a showroom, like you see cars shown at malls from dealerships...

Anyone remember the .MOD format? Been around for a long time. I have a huge collection of them. Most are so-so, but there are a few gems in there.
Problem, I dont know know if they can be converted to .OGG or not.

I'd go with something a bit more laid back with it being a mall.

And mods are awesome. And they can be converted with Foobar2000. It plays mods natively, and you just have to grab the the ogg converter and orbis dll.

Thanks for the logo. Keep the ideas coming. I'm definitely going to do use a few more of them, but I'm also reworking a lot of the shop logo ideas with transparency, illumination and other shader effects, like in these shots, building proper storefronts. Some of the taglines and such I'll put on separate ads or sections of the storefront.

Gameplaywise, I'm having a lot of fun with the vehicle DM idea. I've set up a layout with a circuit so you can drive around the whole mall. I probably will keep the UFO, it seem fairly well balanced to me, like a light, fast raptor but with very low armor. All it takes is a couple of good shots to take it down.
