Well i did something yesterday i thought id never do and so i had to get on and share it with you!! My sister in law took me to Lagoon (amusement park) with her family and since i was at their mercy, having no money, they thought it would be fun to make me ride this ride i said i would never do! Call me chicken but there is roller coasters and then there is TERROR. i have never been so scared in my life! I went to change and when i got back they had bought the tickets and we were next in line....this is what went on...

we did it at night but i dont think that helped lol! its the highest point at lagoon! but i did it!! Screaming my self hoarse the WHOLE way down! and no i was NOT the one pulling the cord!

ya i never want to go bungee jumping either. and someone would have to push me out of a plane to get me to go sky diving. i still cant believe i did that! gives me the shakes to just watch the video!

About had one of those Bill Cosby moments today at work (which was a day from a very hot place indeed). We had a scheduled power outage to test the two 480V/800A breakers in the distribution panels which feed our data center, after the flooding back in June. They figured a couple of hours to clean out the debris, to test the breakers, and inspect everything. Well, the breakers tested out fine, but one of the lugs which hold the cables in place on the second breaker was corroded, and our facilities folks had to remachine this item. And so, things were like 7 hours for part of our data center (with my counterpart being a his usual self, blaming me for it being out so long). But that was not the Bill Cosby moment...

Imagine this... the electrician was pulling off a clip which they used to connect one of their test rigs so that they could test our breaker. While removing the huge alligator clamp (rated for like 125A) from the 480V bus it was hooked to, he somehow shorted the bus out while it was hot. It tripped a breaker which if I remember correctly, is rated for 1500A. A very bright flash (bright enough I could not see the electrician in the flash) and a loud bang were followed by darkness and the sounds of the building diesel generator starting up. No body injured, but very definitely a scary moment.

As for your little adventure Pyro, no way, no how (I doubt even Spammy could have talked me into it!) I have no problems doing mountain/rock climbing (even working 200+ feet up on a radio tower), have been in a fighter jet doing combat acrobatics, and done other things for that rush (I used to be a major coaster junkie, before my back problems), but that sort of thing is straight out. Bungies are for holding things down, and the only reason to jump out of a perfectly good plane is so you know how to do it out of a perfectly bad one (hey... I am an Air Force brat, not an Army brat!).

lol ya and wonbat is already talking about how he wants to get video of i go on it with him next time....NOT happening! it least while in sound mind!
