so get this...i go out fir like the first time in a year to go dancing! I LOVE to dance but i only go with my best friend and as we both have kids its hard to find time to go out! So we go out and right as we get our drinks to sit down guess who i see out on the dance floor?! DRU AND SHAN!!!!!!! i freaked!!! they asked all about you guys and they say hi! they plan to try and catch up on everything here soon! I told them you all say congrats and that you miss them! So i hope to see them on soon!!! I just had to share that with ya!

While I am not (and never have been) a good dancer, dancing is fun. At least when I could find a willing partner (that lack is probably part of why I never have been good). But for a multitude of varied reasons, I seldom do. Unfortunately, my wife has problems with loud, crowded places (as do I at times), and her back problems will keep her from dancing as well. So again, there is that lack of a willing/able partner. But she did go with me to the Pegasus when my friend Kristy (The Azoic) was there, and it still would have been great to live close enough to have gone out with yinz the other night. Cat would just want to hear about it when I got home. Perhaps, at Pennsic, I might find some pretty lass I know (other than my daughter) who wants to go dancing. And for some of the period dances... the lady has to be very willing, either from the exertion levels of the dance, or from the other nature of the dance. be it "Toss a wench" (I remember lifting a friend of mine up high enough that her belt was above my head, and I had to lower her before the release), or something more intimate.

On the Dru and Shan front, it is good to hear that they are finally able to start living something other than work/school again, and I look forward to seeing them on DC soon!

lol my kinda dancing isnt at all like that! I used to know how to do dances like that and i will learn again when we have some spare money! its great fun! but where i go is more of a drunkin stumble alone with my friend kinda thing. i dont dance with any men there! Wombat doesnt do the whole dance thing....yet

so i go with my gal friends! still we have a blast even if we look like fools!

If you work on his fear, he will dance.

lol i know he is. we want to take classes together but for just going out and dancing like...i dunno dancing lol thats not a specific type of dance is hard for him. for me i just feel the beat and shake my hips. its harder for him! but its fun to watch him when he does go! but its a good outlet for me! havin a girls night out once in a while! tho i think i might make it my workout every week! if only i could go every week lol im lucky to get once every 6 months! But once we start learning specific dances he's all for that!

Actually, even that type of dancing is fun, though I don't do very well at it. You should have seen me at Kristy's concert here in town, less than 8 ft away from her, just moving to the music.

ooo another really good one! i do do that as well. i cant help it! ive tried watching others and mimic what they do but i never could get it right and it just wasnt fun! and thats what dancing is all about!! fun!

Awww, that's awesome you got to see them. I miss going 80's dancing every Tuesday....and watching Taco's karate moves.
