works fine on ctf for me... that part of whats the most annoying... high levels grab the flag and we can't kill them because we die when we shoot them
Yes...CTF is annoying for the lower level players...I feel like the only thing for me to do is setup barriers...otherwise I am vaporized by the high level AM's lightning rod and bolt.
I do like the weapon rack idea. say a wm has a piercing avril and wants to be nice and pass it out. he gives it to a engi. the engi uses an artifact that places the rack for whatever weapon he is holding. so a rack of piercing avrils goes out. have it take some sentinel points. now everyone can have the avril. or if that is too powerful, make it so it only passes it out if that gun spawn already exists on the map. for instance you can't pass out a piercing flak on icefields... no spawn. so the only thing it does it make the weapon at a convenient location.

I'd like to add an idea I had about your base idea.
Instead of a 'Regen' type of base have it where it spawns a pickup after a certain period of time.
Like turn your regen base into a health base where it spawns either 1 or 2 (+25 Health) Health packs. For one these don't go over base max. They respawn at the normal rate where the ones existing on the map do.
Basically its just adding another few pick ups to a map.
Health Pak Base - Spawns a couple of Health Packs (+25 Health up to base)
Health Vial Base - Spawns a small group of health vials (+5 Health up to base +99)
Adrenaline Base - Spawns 2 Adrenaline pilles (+2 Adren)
Shield Base - Spawns 1 Normal Shield (+50 Shields, does not stack)
Ammo Base - Spawns 1 pickup of each type of ammo (I dunno about this one)
At high LE levels you can add the double damage, Big Keg of Health, Super Shield where again they have the same respawn rate at the ones normally on the map. Also these cost much more points to prevent multiple spawns of them.
Then add a max number of bases up like 2 or 3 that cap at levels 20, 60, 100.
I would think this would be a bit better as basily your just adding another spawning area on maps.
Anyone that was my take on the base idea but I'm not all that big on it.
