Not cartoons but today we were feeling pretty nostalgic for the Muppet Show.

I second that. I used to love watching the Muppets. In fact, I find myself humming the theme song out of nowhere once in a while.

Yeah, Jason that was the shows name. Pixey, Dixey, and Mr. Jinxs. But it wasn't so much a show as part of a show with the rest of the bunch like Hogie Doggy and Doggy Daddy and such.
Muppets show, I guess it can count. I loved Ratso and Gonzo.

The Muppet Show ROCKED! My favorite characters were the 2 old geezers in the balcony, Beeker and the Sweedish Chef.

As for chartoons...and I mean older, not Pinkey and the Brain old (even tho I liked them as an older guy, but Voltron (the cat version was best), or Thundercats (HO!). I did enjoy the Smerfs a lot too... Those were the days, Today's cartoons are just lame or all Anime (however you spell it). Of course, I was also fond of Droopy Dog, and all the classic WB had of the time.

My current skin After several other skins, I have reverted back to Bender.

Agreed. Animal is pretty awesome too. And I just get a kick out of watching Dad get a kick out of him.

Ahhh no way, you beat me to it!
My friends and I worship that video! That and Shoes by Liam Sullivan

I didn't really watch the actual muppet show when I was little. I don't think there were many reruns at the time. More along the lines of Muppet Babies, but that show was kind of weird.

PIGS IN SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, loved the muppets....Voltron (yes the cat version) was classic, and Thundercats too! Man, that brings back some memories... To add to the list....Johnny Quest and Hong Kong Fuey, (faster then the human eye...) Oh, and a little newer, Ahhh!Real Monsters. (I be Crumb!) LOL Oh, and a little older, and not a toon, but worth mentioning for a Saturday mornining (when that was the only time toons were on) Flash Gordon (da-daaaa).
Oh, and an after school favorite in the 80's, Heathcliff and the Junk Yard Cats followed closely by the Pink Pather Show...

Agreed. A lot of the shows no either are all anime or don't make any sense at all. I'll take Tom and Jerry over most shows today hands down. Of course, I grew up on the old Disney cartoons, Hannah Barbara, MGM, and the Muppet Show and their movies. Gotta love Jim Henson.
Heathcliff and the Pink Panther are still on too. Once again, if you don't have it and loved the shows, Boomerang has them. (at least, they did last time I looked which was about a week ago.)

Im not going to be insulted but, I noticed that many of those "OLD" cartoons that are being mentioned came out after I was an adult.

The good news is that I have not stopped watching cartoons yet. They are one of the last "pure" forms of entertainment.

as for favorites: top of my list. is Pinky and the Brain. I own every episode!

second: not old at all but the Teen Titans ROCK!!!

Third: is a tie between smurfs and WB lineup...

after that it is general mash of bright flashing colors and sight/sound gags that is best i don't reveal...

That video was awsome! That song was used in a car commercial earlier this year...it's very catchy and it sticks with you for days.
