He's working on the last one "A Memory of Light" to be released in early 2009. 13 books, 12 already out!!!!

WoW! What a thrill reading this book! For me it was bitter-sweet... wanting to finish it, but at the same time not wanting to finish it, knowing that this would be the last adventure I'd be able to have with Harry and his friends....
But of course my curious mind would not let me put it down for more than a couple hours at a time, and when the end came, I was very happy wih the results.
Now looking forward to seeing how good they will play it out in the movies to come... altho we all know they can't quite capture it all, I hope they will do thier best!

If there's unanswered questions you have, I suggest hitting Wikipedia. The entry for the book has supplemental information gleaned from JKR interviews. I was hitting there every other day after I finished the book.

There's still a few unanswered questions I have but I think JKR has a few things she just hasn't thought out.
