If I change the spawn code so that there is always at least one block height free between the top of the block and the ceiling, then we should be ok?
Sounds like a good solution to me.

I think people stopping too long too close to a powerup is the territory of the anticamper, not of the spawning code.
Does anyone know if the anti-camper will boot you if you are hanging out near a powerup while in a vehicle or "enterable" turret?

Yes the Anti-Camper works if you try to park a turret keep your vehicle too close to the deemer at least. It also fails to recognize that you are in a vehicle on some maps and tells you that you are in an illegal space with the count down and everything. Bi-frost is an example of this.

Please feel free to give some examples of misuse.
While it is not outright mis-use, Medics can spawn creatures which can get in the way. When it is a titan, on a small map, plugging a small opening you have the potential.
If you have ever had a flying titan or green queen land on you due to a Junkies use of repulsion, you know what I am talking about. As for the titan, you die instantly, other creatures may just knock you off the map.
As for the Weapon master, they can "inadvertently" deemer you off of a map like breakfast before you have moved from your spawn, in an attempt to get the "first blood" award.
The thing is, none of these things are rampant. They are just potential for abuse. My suggestion is to set the ground rules for summoning tech now so that mis-use can be dealt with and everyone know what is annoying and what is good play.

Agreed--deemers on some maps can be deadly---such as Megawoot. I've died/ghosted many times on that map from a deemer blast pushing me off.
The only map I've ever seen an "abuse" of Repulsion was on SpaceNoxx. Pretty funny to watch a wave of titans falling off the map.

Oh, fun to watch is true! I just wish the look on their faces matched what was going on!
I guess we are lucky some of those levels don't go into "airmaster"!

Death drop maps are the only maps I use repulsion on.
Rest easy in the knowledge that when you kill a titan that way, you usually only get the 1xp for the kill, and other than SpaceNoxx, there aren't any maps we "usually" play where the repulsion artifact actually does help. Even on Megawoot, you usually end up only knocking the titans to the other side.

I kind of thought the intention of repulsion was to knock stuff off the map. Most monsters eyesight is good enough to attack you from a lot further away than repulsion knocks stuff.

Using a weapon (Knockback Shock Rifle) or an artifact (Repulsion) to your advantage on maps that have "drop-offs" is sound strategy to stay alive.

yeah slazt sents near power ups/ demeers are great strategy for DM (ive done it a couple times), but they dont net you kills for some reason...meaning if my sent kills i dont get rewarded that kill..the person dies but i dont get anymore points or kills from their death.
