I fixed it! A total wipe of my hard drive, reinstall, upgrade and bang! Fixed! LOL This all happened because I made the mistake of downloading and trying internet explorer 7! do not install this unless your sure you want it! once installed your ie6 is gone and you can't get it back without a long drawn out process of manual registry changes if your system restore fails!
Well, a good thing is my machine is faster for having all the junk cleared out , has been about 3 years since my last wipe.
