I'm not so sure having titan pets as part of monster tongue is such a good idea. They are a little too powerful on the waves where there is no need for a pet and somewhat useless on waves 6 and 14.
Warlords seemed like a good top level pet.
Plus the bouncing every wave part seems annoying.

I agree the warlords never bothered me in the least but the titans are extremely annoying. Last night we were playing on Rankin and there were only about 4 Titan pets that I saw and they were still a huge annoyance. The bouncing is bad enough but what really hurts is that they block firing lines as well as movement.

I remember a titan blocking an entire hallway off in SpaceLego one time... and sometimes, since they're so tall, their halo will be in the right spot, but it'll be in the ceiling if they're in a low hallway, and we don't know whether it's a pet or not.

I had more than my fill of titans in particular on that map, and I was close to hurling earlier this week. I counted at least 5 of them (perhaps 6), and I ended up dying as the result of not being able to hit the warlords which were attacking me while those <self censored> titans just stood there, while several other times they blocked my way to fire or escape (even with a TL over their heads). Indeed, over the past week, I have died quite a few times due to pests...pets. My vote would be to get rid of em (e.g. no monster tounge and no summoning charms) entirely, and I have been upset enough a few times when I was dying to wish I could suicide nuke and take them out, along with anything else in range!

I have also found that the pet titan rocks while they do not kill you still can slam you into the wall or out of a level.

If it were up to me, i would remove pets all together, but i think that may be a bit unfair. As for titan pets though, im going to have to agree with the rest of you and say ditch the pet titans.
Many a times i have seen a heap of skaarj bunched together, whipped out my ion painter, aimed it at the skaarj, and just before it goes off, BAM, a pet titan near by makes me bounce and the ion doesnt go off and before i can get the ion going again, the skaarj have split and run off.
And lets not forget the blocking and mistaking them for non-pets on waves 6 and 14...

Of all the critters that can be summoned, I like the titans the most. I think they are cool, and use them sometimes, but only on certain maps. Of course, I have control over when I can summon them (which the monster tongue folks do not). The only maps I use them on is medium size. Small maps just get jambed up and large maps, well by the time the rock gets where it was thrown, there's nothing there to hit. On medium maps I use them for cover and duck behind them when skaarj fuzzballs are aimed my way.
But, even though I like 'em, they should probably go. Too many in game complaints from just about everybody (including myself sometimes). If only there were a way for the summoners to 'turn 'em off' for the smaller maps.

It wasn't to long ago there were no pets, and life was good. Not that life is bad, just not as good.

Its nice to be able to have a pet every now and again. I have been gone for a few months. Before I left, summoning charms were no longer, and it was a little less chaotic.
Now that i'm back I noticed the SC is back.. Lots of pets out there today. But it didn't ruin my game. It was just as fun with or without.

From what I understand pets will be removed from skills soon. To bad since I was working towards monster tongue. though I didn't mind the titans too much. Often I found safe heaven standing behind one if I'm really weak on health. But they are very obtrusive in small/narrow maps.
A new skill I'd LOVE to see is the ability to "possess" a monster once you've died. And one of the requirements to be able to possess a monster is you must have ghost, so that your ghost can possess a monster. Makes sense, eh?
And the possessing is random, you don't have a choice (at first, unless you upgrade to a higher level of this skill). Perhaps the nearest monster near you when you die you'll end up processing, except small bug monsters and cows.... though that would be funny ending up being a baby-cow or a flying mosquito.
One problem I could see from this is you might end up possessing a monster that's under attack from other players, so you might end up in a very weak monster.
Once you possess a monster you can only do what the said monster is capable of. No weapon pick ups, other than the weapon it might already have (i.e. Nali). None of your RPG stats and abilities will apply to it. Other players can heal you, but you'll have whatever health it has at the time you possess it. You can still pick up power ups and use them, except perhaps charms, since I don't think you'll have any adrenaline anyway.
You'll last until you die as the monster, or perhaps when the round is over, and you come back as your normal self.
Hmm this might be something we can all discuss in a different thread.

I'm intending that Monster Summon type people in the future will be able to summon titans. They'll be able to summon 1 (one) titan at a time. They'll be able to pick the location as well.
It will be an exclusive path, just like loaded weapons and artifacts, so they'll need these pets to complete with the rest of the players. They wont be able to summon more than one though, and for everyone else, no more monster tongue.
Do you think this will adequately solve the situation?

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

If it's an exclusive path then that would mean you wouldn't be able to have LW or LA? If that's the case then surely you'll add unique attributes and abilities related to weapons...or maybe you can get LW or LA but have to sacrifice some abilities.
But...I'm also wondering that me wasting points on Monster Tongue lvl 7 will be gone or I'll get them back as credit. Just some of my thoughts.
