Nice work on ver.170, the anti-camper is cool and the Ghost respawn points are a handy fix

I notice with Ghost and Denial though, there still seems to be an issue if Denial is purchased before Ghost. If Ghost is bought first, no problems, but if Denial is bought before Ghost, the Denial ability fails to work correctly and after ghosting, the held weapon (usually the best weapon) is lost and defaults to translocator. This only happens if Denial is bought before Ghost, never the other way around.

I point to the following thread on the USG gaming portal site, which also notes the issue:

http://www.unrealstargate.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=762&forum=1#forumpost5253

So my question is does anybody know of a fix for this issue? (I mean for players who have already acquired Denial first) Is it possible that another mutator might be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance for any help

I'll have to give it a try when I have time. Are you sure that you don't accidentally have the old denial skill?

Maybe not just in the list of purchasable skills, but maybe in the user's RPG Data in the ini?

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Thanks for the reply, I did my best to make sure I worked with a clean cache and no older versions, but I guess it's possible there's something in the ini file.

What's the best way to ensure that I'm working with only the latest version of Denial?

Thx again for the help

hang on a sec. In the RPG.ini What order is Ghost and Denial listed in the list of skills. Also, what order is it in the player's RPG data when it works and what order is it in the RPG data when it does not work?

Arggh, sorry Dru, only just now spotted your reply, doh!

To answer your questions, when denial DOESN'T work, it is listed ABOVE Ghost in the player's RPG data and when it DOES work, it's listed BELOW.

Btw, is it the order/sequence for the abilities in the main list that defines the order of the players abilities under [ x RPGPlayerDataObject ] or it is the player's buying sequence that determines this?

(Also, when we upgraded from 168 to 170, we replaced the header part with the one in the archive of Druids, so it could well be that the problems are in the player datas?)

Be great if you could shed any more light on this one, thanks!

Which version of Ghost are you using?

I have denial(Druids version w/ level 3) listed above ghost(original version by Mysterial) on my personal character that I use every day and I never have seen the type of issue you are stating.

Vortex --

Both Ghost and Denial are the versions provided in DruidsRPG170.

vortex, if i am not mistaking, it is only with Druid's ghost and not with mysterial. (doesnt come forward at all that this bug is only with druids.. lol)

duke, get DruidsRPG173 before finding more bugs.

Ok. I was just trying to clarify the problem. It is rather odd because really the only difference anymore between the two versions of ghost is the requirements right? It's not like Druids version acts differently like it used to with the instant teleporting.

and druids ghost also has better pathing i think it was that he changed a couple of versions back (maybe a idea to look at the code for this)

Does this bug occur when the player has both Ghost and Ultima or when they dont have Ultima?

After looking at the code for Ghost the only difference in Druids version on the new 173 is the cost and the ability to have it and Ultima at the same time.

When I come out of ghost I get the welcome screen (about five seconds worth), this makes it very hard to fight when Titans are throwing rocks. I don't have Ultima.

You mean I really am important? How I feel when I'm drunk is correct?

Word to Fodder - it's woefully hard to aim when I'm being warned for the Nth time not to swear.
