Ratar_Killer Baby Update *Updated

So, as most of you know, Mrs.RK is now 41 weeks preggers. She is large and in charge, and we both cant wait for our lastest edition to the clan. This is the last week before we go the induction route. ETA is, if a no show this week, induction on Dec 18 and a brand new baby girl on the 18th or 19th. Most of my off time now is filled with taking stress of my wife. i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, taking care of our daughter, and rubbing of the back and feet. I'll keep you all updated. P.S. the baby estimated weight right now is 8.9lbs so we figure something like a 9.5lb baby if we wait until the 18th

Sounds like you're doing a great job, good luck with the induction (if it comes to that) If they induce her, will you all be back home by Christmas? I'm not exactly sure what they do for inductions. Can't wait for the next update. B_B

Did you NOT do what we told you to do to speed up that process??? LOL J/K Thanks for the update Ratar! I can't wait, I'm so excited for you... if they induce her, be prepared to wait around awhile lol...but seeing as how the baby is bigger maybe they will take her by C-section, then it would be over quick but the wife would be in the hospital atleast 5 days. Either way let us know how it goes and Good Luck!!! P.S. We want pics!!!

Oh, I bet your just a ball of nervs.. :-) First rule about holding a baby... Spit Happens! So be prepared. Happy for you, just don't envy you. I dont think I'm the father type. At least, I dont want to find out the hard way. B-)

Oh, and when it's time to swaddle the little cuttie, trust me, wrap her up like you would a sub but leave one end open (preferably the head end!). I was scared to death to hold my son when he was born, as his head could rest on the end of my middle finger and his "tail" was on the heel of my hand, but the nurse was so inept at wrapping him up to keep warm that I took over and poof, warm and snug and no squirmin'! (now he's bigger than me and can wrap me up.)

I was going to say if your not ready dont do it, but you can never really be ready. That said I was 32 when my first daughter was born and was scared to death, but the bonuses of fatherhood are amazing. I never knew my capacity for love could grow so much so fast and cant wait for that to happen all over again. But if your sure you dont want kids then seriously, DONT DO IT. Have fun messing up your own life. >:)

OK, Shes here're Lexie_Killer has made her arrival. 9lbs. 8 oz. 21.25 inches.... and get this, "No Drugs!!!!!!!!" My wife puts all our fraggin to shame, dont know how she did it, but Im so proud. Everyone is great and doing fine. Will try to post some pics soon. RK

Nice! :) Glad to hear all went well. Your wife is a trooper. My wife is still 4 months from giving birth to our first child and she already is planning on drugs, and lots of 'em. Can't wait for some pics. :)

Congrats Dude. And 9lbs8oz is just a bit smaller than my daughter was when she was born, and my wife had to have an epidural. Did not help that my daughter got stuck on the pelvic girdle and only dialated to a 4 after 18 hrs, and had to be taken by C-section. How your wife did it... she deserves BIG contrats!

yes it brought back memories for me as well! makes me want another one until i go back up stair to my 2 yr old lol ;-) and about the whole wife thing with no drugs, she deserves major kudos for that! and honestly...im suprised your still alive! heaven knows if i did that wombat would end up in a bed next to me in the hospital! :twisted: CONGRATS YOU TWO!!

ya i remember the whole "THIS IS YOUR FAULT!!" line coming out during contractions. i almost broke his thumb...after the drugs it was just intertaining to watch wombat try and move my legs for me :)) omg...SO funny!! the nurse finnaly had to come in to do it :))
