I'd have to disagree on safer buying a PS3. I'd personally put that cell processor to very good use and tell it to break into some secret government system and sell the information to like north bali or someplace. I'm also sure the cell not only speaks english but would be able to figure out how to hack into said top secret government system without any further input from my end.

Well here's my thoughts on the whole console wars... I'd love a PS3 but the 600 dollar price tag will most likely keep me away for a good amount of time. It does look amazing though... as for the Wii I absolutely love the idea of interacting with the game. I've played it multiple times and it's a true enjoyment and is relatively cheap 250... however the funny thing about the Wii is that it is dangerous lol. I'm waiting for the games to pick up for the Wii before I buy it, but so far I have a broken window due to the controller flying through it hehe. Although the window took me by surprise because it was a complete accident (with the wristrap on, which broke) but I can laugh at it now :(|) . So now I can't wait to get one myself :)) ... I just need to Wii proof my house and dorm before I get it lol.

More than one came to Alaska, there were 8 for Juneau (population 30,000). We did not have lines tho. It was literealy deadly cold out so the store passed out tickets to everyone that was in line at a paticular time. then they held a raffle. There were about a hundered of us with about 3 or 4 people from each of the households, I had a pretty good chance of getting one. So far I have purchased: Resistance, Dark Kingdom, and Genji. I have attached a keyboard, trackball and upgraded the hard drive to a total of 120 GB. Im trying to decide if I should install Linux or OS X. any suggestions? It may be kind of funny but everyone says "I can't believe you are going to pay that much for a console" but the fact is, its just a proprietary computer. My younger son is getting a Wii for christmas.

I see a market here for Wii TV nets, kind of like the chicken wire cage Aykroyd and Belushi stood behind in the movie "The Blues Brothers" only transparent for clear viewing. Any takers?

I've had a Wii since the day it's come out. I need to play through Zelda but have otherwise been bored with it. I did- however leave it over at a party house so my buds could still play on it and whatnot. Result = 2 busted wiimotes and 2 of my buddies each paying me $40 a piece. The straps seem to last maybe 2-3 weeks max before they snap. Much of the hype for the system in certain circumstances is not quite as it seems. (ie. Link doesn't REALLY swing the sword the way you swing the remote) -bequietpirate

I'm a Zelda finatic! I love Link! Since I don't have my Wii yet, I am forced to wait for the new Zelda to be released for the gamecube on Dec. 12!!! [-( Until then I will be blasting monsters (and a couple players) on the server... How was playing Zelda on the Wii? You don't have a horse to ride do you? :)) Sub

Actually, you'll be riding the crap out of your horse way before you even get your sword. It is a ton of fun...I need to put some more time into it. I just really like how they don't go, "Hey, here is your standard boomerang*." They say, "Here is a Gale Boomerang that summons powerful winds, glows violently, and locks on to 5 targets at a time." A fun approach.

Update: Resistance Rocks!!! between an imersive single player or co-op game and up to 40 player hosting on multiplayer w/ multiple game types, It Rocks... Untold Legends Is not bad. Seems like a rare combination of a RPG and a Fighting game. Gengi is wierd and I have not decided if I love or hate it.

I third that! We managed to get our hands on a Wii for our son for christmas but now I can't get any accesorys or games he wants ! :-w They are all out of stock online, and at the stores. Em's very angry, angry indeed. Well, I'll keep plugging away trying to find stuff and Link is on the top of the list!

You are guessing right. There is a pretty nice mixture of mission types in the co-op version. A lot of things you can tactialy do on a battle field that make sense with a team mate. The weapons are pretty decent overall and your basic starting weapon is good enough that you will probably be pulling it out for spacific situations all through the game (I do). The PS3 has support for the Keyboard and mouse but none of the games that I have seen do. As a result on resistance, I find my self using a lot of "fire supression" or as I like to call it emptying the gun in the general direction of the enemy.
