WOW Chyster! That is awesome!!! I am about 1 1/2 to 2 years into a degree in marine biology and man is it tough. Had to take a break though for awhile (met Subie, married him, had a couple of kids, ya know, been busy lol.) Anyway, way to go!!!

Chyster: Congratulations. At 41 huh, all that means is that I still have time. LOL. Quite a lot of hard work went into it Im sure. Rockgoddess: have you looked into the university of Alaska? I heard that they have an awsome marine biology department. BTW I would never trade the time I have had while my kids were growing up to have finished my degree, there will be plenty of time once they lose interest in me. :(

Crongrats!!! Sometimes I reallly miss school. In school u get books with answers to questions you know are coming (in the form of tests), In life theres no book with answers and you never know what questions are going to be asked, much less the subject. But school is over 10 years ago, my memory might be failing.

Granted, there is a certain amount of pride in an accomplishment of this nature. But, that's nothing compared to the pride I feel when I call you my friends. Thank you very much.

A bit of pride is warranted. It's a very tough thing to help support a family and earn a degree. The kid who has everything paid for will never understand how hard it is or how the sacrifices mount exponentially. I had to sacrifice a lot to get a degree. It was a long saga of pain and enlightment. Was the "piece of paper" worth it? I'll leave that to the philosophers. What I'm more proud of than the degree is all the challenges I faced to get it.
