I get this message: After we finish a map and start to load the next one I'll be on a UT screen with the hints on it... but then it kicks off and gives me this. This happened to me last night and twice in a row today. I looked in my Cache for the 757 files, and found one last night and deleted it, but I'm baffled why it's doing it again when there are no more of them, any suggestions?? (I don't think those smiley's are in the error message lol)

Dr Mystic is in the house lol ..

problem is a patch error certain batch's of info get corrupted.. 2 things can cause this ,to give you errors..

1. Display driver's.. make sure theyre up to date.. sound drivers also..
once new video.and audio drivers are installed restart windows.

2. if you are currently patched to 3355 switch to the older patch 3339.if you use patch 3339 upgrade to 3355.. technicly all u need is patch 3339,then ece bonus pack v1.1,then 3355,, in that order of installation..

i myself ran into this problem.i simply deleted all UT2004 related files and reinstalled. then downloaded patch 3339. then ece bonus pack 1.1 then 3355. problem was solved.. hoope this helps ..

Thanks for the reply! I've thought about reinstalling Ut, and this may be the time to do it... but first I'm slowly learning more about my computer so I don't really know how to tell if my sound drivers or audio drivers are up to date.
I'm using patch 3339 I believe because I do not have any zipfiles of the 3355 one so i'm assuming I never downloaded it, so I'll be installing that, but I also have used the ece bonus pack too so I think it's just the new patch, hopefully... Thanks for your help, I'll have to see if it works!

I feel stupid ops: I found my audio file thing, just typed it in wrong, I do have direct x9... the sound driver says its name is ac97intc.sys
It's version is 5.10.00000.3523 date: 8/17/2001

then my main driver nv4_disp.dll version: 6.14.0010.5673
Date: 8/4/2004
Don't know if any of this is important but that's what I've found... gonna re-install UT now

One last question... should I delete all the system, textures, cache, animation... etc because i'm going to delete it then reinstall, I know I'll lose the skins, but I'll just install those again

well my computer was bought in 2001, is there an easy fix for an old driver or would I have to go out and buy it to be installed by a professional? And I know nothing has been done to it except for adding more virtual memory and another 128 ram so i have 256 ram...

http://www.nvidia.com & download the latest driver. It should be fairly easy to find.

well that's cool that you just have to download it... however when I click download drivers there are a bunch of drivers to choose from and I don't want to pick the wrong one, unless it doesn't matter... can you tell from the driver I have which one I'd need because for this I'm clueless
Edit- I think I'm getting it so I think that will be it... thanks guys for all of your help!!!!!
