Thanks for making it clear that all monsters are fair game cpl.

However, you also seem to be saying you would prefer it if other people didn't attack any monsters you were dealing with. Would it help to have a list somewhere of those people who want to be left alone, and those who don't mind being helped? I know it would not be possible in a match to get it right all the time, but it might help a bit.

My problem is that I don't want to offend someone by helping when they didn't want it, but I don't want to stand by and watch someone get wiped out if I could have helped.

From my perspective, if I am 1-on-1 against a titan, I know who usually wins, and it's not me. I am usually first out on wave 14! I could say it's due to a relatively high ping, but it's actually lack of skill! I would much prefer to take titans on in a group effort.

Perhaps we could have parts of a map where people team together, and others parts where the individualists could go?

I think if someone wants to left alone while he kills a monster then that person should:
1. disconnect from the internet
2. set up his own server
3. turn off all the lights
4. lock all the doors.
5. play the game
6. die a lonely old man

OR

1. get a clue that this is a team game
2. get some professional help
3. join us for some fun

You mean I really am important? How I feel when I'm drunk is correct?

The problem people have with Onslaught maps is that some are just too big and when they die, they are waiting for someone to find the last mosquito running around. Some people are more concerned about getting exp within a shorter time frame rather than playing through 12 waves on an Onslaught map for 45 minutes.

My advice... get rid of the smaller monsters, namely the little green flying things and mosquitos and replace them with skaarj or gasbags. That, or start the wave off higher like around 8 or 9 instead of 5. That might bring the time down to the same as an Invasion game.

I like Primeval cuz its small and you don't have to look too long for the critters.

Tonight I played for about an hour, and got wiped out twice by people using superweapons incorrectly. Once was a redeemer that took out the firer, one other person and me. The second was an ion painter that blew someone else and me off a path into lava. Both were on maps without superweapons, and so required at least loaded weapons 3 - so not nubes.

I definitely do not want to name names, and I am not after apologies or sympathy. I just want to raise it so people think about it.

We are all guilty of carelessness at some time. I know I have accidently killed people in the past. It will always happen - it is part of the game. Especially on space/lava/Gael maps.

It just with superweapons you have to be super careful as well. Don't fire if it could kill another player. Nuff said.

Hello Folks:

I find that 95% of the players are helpful and thoughtful and I return this tenfold. I love playing on this server I enjoy the regulars it is like one big family.

The only thing that gets me is when I am standing in front of the DD waiting for the countdown to finish and someone runs in front of me and swipes it. It is no use to me in the countdown. Am I not supposed to wait? Am I in the wrong?

If one makes a mistake by running over an artifact please tell the person. I have just stopped picking them up when other players are close because people who did not kill the monster claim them. (Especially the MWM). This happened to me the other night and I felt like I was bullied into passing it to someone who rudely demanded it and he did not kill the monster.

Several times I have had another player fire at me and not tell me what I did wrong. I like to be told so I can apologize, as I do not set out to be rude.

As for killing monsters they are all game to me. This is a team game not one on one. Many times I have been thankful for a player come to my rescue. In my opinion if a person wants to have all the kills they should play DM or play on their own. We come to play to have fun not to be stressed out by people who want to own all the monsters.

Cheers, Yvonne

yeah, there is much to say about etiquette while playing, thats for sure. we all do things by mistake at times. i sometimes have been running around and tramped over an artifact i didn't earn by mistake. usually i stop and wait for someone to say something or shoot at me if they wanted it, (i type slow so i can't say anything in game since it takes long) otherwise if they say or do nothing i will continue running. there are also situations where people shoot at the same monster that lets an item go, and noone knows who really killed it...generally i will leave and let them have it. unless its a weapon maker and i have a -3 flak <_<

as for superweapons...well...i haven't killed anyone using one myself, but once before i leaped in the way of one shooting it, and we died. i apologized, but i felt stupid for being careless and stuff :/

and yeah...this is a team game...noone owns monsters to kill. i don;t even have time most moments to see who is going for what, so i just kill anything in view as quick as possible. sometimes i think i help others this way, since the less that is after them, the longer they may survive and kill elsewhere.

the double damage waiting i see often. thats what i think is inconsiderate..i see people wait before the wave begins, and someone else just runs by and takes it as the countdown is going. they not only are wasting its usage time, but thats just rude as heck

Getting mad at what happens in the game is like gtting mad at the sun for being hot.

Seriously guys, most of us just enjoy the game, sure we have slips andpick up a gun that someone else was going to pick, we jump on an item that looks so alone and homeless and we want to give it a place to live (and be useful)

Items and weapons come and go, sometimes they come andgo in a very dumb way like falling on a pitfall or being blown to pieces, but come and go they do.

I find some satisfaction if someone picks up from my character's pieces my good 'ol Inf minigun and uses it to save its skin the way i was unable to.

After all, fun is the goal

What?!?

I thought shooting my deemers at Mystic was the goal!

DRATZ! Someone should post the goal more often. After nearly a year, I find out the goal.
At least I didn't fall for CPL's goal. He tried to tell me it was like Golf.... lowest score wins.....

Kitty, on the DoubleDamage thing.... I'm probably guilty of that some. and if so, I do apologize. There are times when I'm just moving and trans'ing where I need to be and have tunnel vision on getting my hands bloody and all.
I'll try to pay more attention to not do that. On the other hand.... if the countdown is going and I see the double damage... I will go sit and wait, but my head is on a pivot and the first sight of another player... I grab and go. I'll waste some time on the countdown and all, but I won't have it stolen =)

You're so backwards. First CPL, now Mystic. I'll just stay off your bad side.
